What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want players to help us tune the balance between smashing enemies, building defenses, earning coins, and meeting each bill. Early Access gives us a chance to improve pacing, clarity, and difficulty through real play and feedback while the game is playable.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Hammer and Hoard to remain in Early Access for approximately six months from its Early Access launch. This is an estimate, and the timeframe may change depending on player feedback and the progress of balance, usability, and performance improvements. We will keep players informed of any changes through Steam announcements.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full release, we plan to refine the four battlefields, enemy waves and bill balance, tower upgrades, and how routes and skills are explained. We also hope to add more encounter variety and improve performance and presentation based on feedback. These are plans; the scope may change.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The playable version includes four themed battlefields—workshop, office, hotel, and beach—with 20 stages per map and bills due every five stages. Players build and upgrade hammers and ranged towers, smash piggy banks for coins, choose cards and skills, and pay bills to continue. Balance, interface clarity, and performance are still being refined.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to increase the price during Early Access or when the game leaves Early Access. The full version is planned to have the same base price as the Early Access version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players can share feedback, suggestions, and bug reports in the Steam Community discussions. We plan to use this feedback to prioritize updates to difficulty, enemy waves, tower balance, bill pacing, controls, interface clarity, and performance. For example, reports about difficult payment milestones or unclear routes and skills will help us decide which encounters and explanations to revise. We plan to share update notes and development progress through Steam announcements, including how player feedback has informed changes.”

About This Game

Smash piggy banks. Pay the bills.

Build and upgrade hammers that chase enemies, then back them up with machine guns, frost, fire, and electricity. Smash your targets before they reach the bank to collect the coins inside. Every enemy that slips through takes its reward with it.

Bills come due as you fight. Spend on more firepower, or save enough cash to pay on time. Pick reward cards, unlock skills, and adjust your defenses as enemy routes and abilities change.

Four battlefields, shifting threats

Defend a workshop, an office desk, a hotel banquet table, and a beach. New entrances, obstacles, and enemy types keep you moving towers and rethinking your setup. Find a way to clear the crowd—and keep the bank open.
