About This Game

Short battles — everything at a glance. The entire battlefield fits on a single screen: no need to drag the camera around hunting for the fight. Capture mills for gold, hire new squads mid-battle, seize towers and push the enemy back before they do the same to you. Battles last mere minutes. But it's not numbers that decide the outcome — it's what your warriors are equipped with.

Any weapon for any warrior. The classics of warfare: spears against cavalry, shields against enemy arrows. Or just leave the rulebook to dust. Hand a legendary sword of ancient heroes to a band of snaggle-toothed orcs — the heroes wouldn't approve, but the orcs are thrilled. Or give yesterday's peasants huge two-handed hammers and let them thresh the enemy ranks as diligently as they once threshed grain. Any weapon and any gear fits any unit. Every victory brings new warriors and new equipment, and whether your army turns out fearsome or just borderline weird is entirely up to you.

Choose your path. A randomly generated branching map leads you from the borderlands to the heart of the kingdom. Every battle along the way promises its own reward: new fighters, weapons or spells. Plot a route that suits your army's needs, stop by the merchant to restock, and prepare for the decisive battle at the end of the expedition. No two expeditions are ever the same.

Magic that turns the tide of battle. Burn your enemies with fire, freeze them with ice, fill your warriors with rage, or give them a speed boost with a hearty kick of wind. Spells become available as the battle unfolds, and timing is everything: one well-timed spell can decide the outcome of a fight. So can one badly timed one...
