Welcome to Vacancy: Hotel Inspection Simulator Demo, a first-person hotel inspection game where a neatly made bed is only the beginning. Test the fixtures, photograph the faults and investigate what the last guest left behind. Sometimes it is a maintenance problem. Sometimes it is a rubber duck board meeting.

Look closer. Test everything.

Explore your assigned room and check the furniture, bathroom, wardrobe, minibar and other inspection areas. Open doors, look into overlooked corners and test the things a guest would use. Separate genuine faults from harmless details before you put them in your report.

Guests check out. Their weirdness stays.

A tiny meeting of rubber ducks. A biscuit-sized crime scene. An inspection report that seems to know too much. Discover guest belongings, elaborate pranks and unsettling clues tucked away around the hotel.

Record what you find in the guest incident register and decide whether it belongs under lost property, a prank or a security concern. The job calls for careful observation, even when the evidence is ridiculous.

Photograph the evidence. Make the call.

Use your camera to document problems, then organise your findings in the inspection dossier. Choose a fault category and severity, acknowledge the areas you have checked and decide what should happen to the room.

• Call maintenance when something needs fixing.
  
• Close the room when it should stay out of service.

Your completed report receives a grade. Revisit the assignment to spot details you missed and improve your inspection.
