About This Demo

Build a Niu Niu. Push one hand into the billions.

Strive Card is a deckbuilding roguelike built on Niu Niu poker hands. Each turn you pick five cards, turn them into a Niu Niu or a Five Flower, and convert that hand into Chips and Mult — then let your Strive Cards multiply the whole thing. Damage = Chips x Mult, and hands in the billions are normal here.

Order is damage

Additive cards on the left, multipliers on the right. Strive Cards resolve left to right, and every x recalculates the Mult you have at that moment — so the + cards to its right get amplified by it. Drag a Strive Card to reorder the chain: the same hand can be worth several times more. Building to Plan copies the Strive Card to its right, so two of them stacked make a copy chain.

Three card types, one deck that keeps escalating

• Strive Cards — persistent abilities, the backbone of your build, from Common to Legendary.

• Tech Cards — one-shot tools: copy two cards, rewrite ranks and suits, add editions.

• Thought Cards — upgrade your hand types so Niu Niu itself hits harder.

• Achievements — permanent passives that rewrite shop size, slots and interest.

24 solar terms, 8 stage bosses

A run spans 24 solar-term blinds, three to a stage, each stage ending in a boss with a disaster: Haze hides your Strive Cards, Tornado disables one per turn, Wildfire burns a hand level. Three difficulties — Strive Against Man, Earth and Heaven — each with their own health curve and shop rules.

A new deck every run

Between blinds you visit the shop: buy cards, open packs, reroll the shelf, and earn interest on whatever you don't spend. Finishing in-run tasks permanently unlocks new Strive Cards and characters, while your Collection and Run History keep a record of every build and your best hit.

Woodblock print, working people's card table

A multi-colour woodblock-print look across cards and UI, with worker, peasant, soldier and scholar taking turns at the table. For players who like the "just one more calculation" pull of games like Balatro and want to watch the numbers fly.

During development, this game used generative AI tools to assist in creating some content: some card illustrations, character art, and scene images were initially generated by AI, then manually selected, redrawn, and post-processed by the developer. Some music, sound effects, and text were also created with AI assistance and finalized after item-by-item revisions by the developer. Some assets used on the store page and promotional images were also produced with the assistance of the above tools. The game does not contain any AI content generated in real time at runtime, and does not use any third-party copyrighted characters, assets, or trademarks.
