You only wanted to get home after work. Instead, the last bus carries you into another world, where familiar rain-soaked streets lead to card games governed by sinister rules.

Deck of Taboos is a single-player poker deckbuilding roguelite inspired by Chinese urban horror. Arrange your hand, combine spirit powers, and reshape your deck as you search for a way home.

Nine Cards. Three Lanes. Every Lane Counts.

Split nine cards into three groups, using pairs, straights, flushes, and more to meet three separate score targets. Each lane must pass on its own. A huge score in one cannot make up for a shortfall in another.

Break up a flush to complete another pair, or discard and try your luck? How you divide your hand can decide the entire round.

Collect spirits whose powers work with your poker hands and the way you arrange them. Upgrade individual cards, refine your deck, and put special items and star cards to work in the battles ahead.

Follow branching paths through the city's rain-soaked southern district. Between card games, visit a late-night convenience store or an observatory for supplies and opportunities to reshape your deck.
