Cheongwol: Paranormal Archives is a modern fantasy romance visual novel set in Cheongwol, a city where supernatural beings and ghosts live among humans.

Join Kang Dohyeon, a photographer who can see beings invisible to others, and photograph Jang Sehee, an eight-tailed fox, at places steeped in ghost stories. What begins as a strange bargain soon leaves them with moments they never want to forget.

A Dangerous Bargain Beneath the Moonlight

In a creative slump, photographer Kang Dohyeon comes to Cheongwol to pursue his lifelong dream of taking a spirit photograph.

One night, he spots a woman drinking alone beneath the moonlight, her eight tails on full display, and impulsively presses the shutter.

Her name is Jang Sehee. She is an eight-tailed fox who hopes to become a nine-tailed fox by gathering people's attention and vital energy. When Dohyeon captures her true form, Sehee offers him a deal.

If he helps photograph her and draw people's attention, she will show him a place where he can take a real spirit photograph.

And so begins an unusual series of photo shoots between a photographer chasing the supernatural and an eight-tailed fox seeking her ninth tail.

Ghost Stories Behind Familiar Scenes

An abandoned hospital no one visits, a tunnel that echoes with voices, and a café and lakeside park where they can catch their breath.

Visit places haunted by strange tales with Sehee and help photograph her. Encounter ghosts in deserted locations and capture the genuine spirit photograph Dohyeon has long dreamed of taking.

Beyond the Lens, Growing Closer

Jang Sehee, an eight-tailed fox, keeps Dohyeon off balance with her teasing words and bold actions. Her goal of becoming a nine-tailed fox has not changed, but as their photo shoots continue, their relationship begins to shift.

Sehee's acquaintance Cha Yuri is a dokkaebi who runs an electronics repair shop. Despite her blunt manner, she helps Dohyeon and Sehee when they bring in a broken camera and offers advice on their dangerous shoots.

Their bargain began with separate goals, but as they share everyday moments and keep taking photographs together, it slowly grows into something more. In each other, they discover something neither set out to find.
