About This Game

Cryptids For Hire

Run a small diner by day. Win over the things living in the woods behind it by night. Cook, serve, and save up while slowly earning the trust of a shy Bigfoot and something far less shy about being seen once the sun goes down.

About This Game

You just inherited a diner at the edge of the forest. The regulars are friendly, the tips are decent, and the fridge needs restocking more often than you'd like. Nothing unusual,  except for the food that keeps disappearing from the treeline after closing, and the shapes that don't quite look right in your headlights on the drive back from town.

Cryptids For Hire is a cozy restaurant sim with something watching from just outside the porch light. Spend your days taking orders, plating meals, and building up a diner from a handful of tables into a real local favorite. Spend your nights leaving out food for whatever's been circling the property, one cautious offering at a time, until it finally decides to trust you back.

Run the diner

Take orders, chop and cook and plate, keep drinks stocked, and clean up after the lunch rush all against a clock that gets a little more forgiving as your diner grows. Serve customers well and they'll start coming back as regulars, unlocking new ingredients and recipes the more they trust you. Whatever you can't grow or forage, order from the delivery shop and it'll show up in a crate the next morning.

Earn a cryptid's trust

Somewhere out past the tree line, a Bigfoot is watching your diner and deciding whether you're worth the risk. Leave out the right food, keep your distance, and don't spook him , do it enough times and he'll start settling in, uncovering a little more of his story with each visit, until he's finally comfortable enough to stick around and lend a hand.

Something else is out there

Not everything you're feeding is what it first looks like. A second visitor takes a lot more patience, a lot more care, and doesn't always play by the same rules — especially after dark, when the forest gets a little too quiet and you start noticing things you'd rather not have.

After hours

Once the shift ends, the diner isn't the whole story. Take the ATV out, scan the treeline with a pair of binoculars, and use the map to track down habitats and points of interest, some roads are blocked for a reason, and you'll find out why. The backyard forest carries on with or without you: deer, foxes, birds, and other wildlife move through it whether you're watching or not, day or night.
