Farm it. Fortify it. The Taxman is coming. Grow a village in a blocky kingdom, arm it with scarecrow turrets, then fight beside them when the Authority's grey-suit collectors arrive to repossess the lot. The kingdom always falls in the end — how long you hold it is your score.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“ CropCorp is an economy under siege, and an economy needs players to break it. We want real farms, real villages and real losses to the Taxman feeding back into the balance before the kingdom reaches its full hundred days. Early Access lets us tune the waves, the village's appetite and the co-op pacing against how people actually play, not how we think they play. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“ We plan on roughly six months. Early Access opens with the first sixty days of the kingdom and we plan to extend it by about ten days a month until the full hundred-day kingdom is in, then leave Early Access at 1.0.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“ Early Access ships the first sixty days of the kingdom. We plan to grow that to the full hundred days, with later chapters, later bosses and the late-game buildings that go with them. We also plan to add more villager jobs, more things for the Taxman to send, and to keep polishing co-op. Nothing in this list is a promise of a date, and the scope may change with what players tell us.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core loop is complete and stable: farming, building, a living village, third-person combat, scarecrow turrets, the Authority's notice board, chapters and bosses across the first sixty days, saved runs and a death recap. Online co-op for up to four players works by host code. Expect rough edges in menus, placeholder sounds in places, and balance that will move as we learn from real runs. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price modestly when we leave Early Access, so early players get the full game for less in return for helping shape it.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“There is a report button in the game itself that sends bug reports and ideas straight to us, with the run's seed attached so we can replay the exact farm. We read every one. Beyond that: our Discord, the Steam discussions, and a public dev log on our official website, where the roadmap is posted and updated as decisions are made. Balance changes will be explained, not just shipped.”

About This Game

An economy under siege

CropCorp is a comedic, family-friendly, third-person action tower defense. You start with a hoe, a granary and an incoming invoice. Between waves you farm, fell trees, mill planks and raise walls. When the wave comes you fight in third person beside the scarecrow turrets you built — because neither the

turrets nor you can hold a wave alone.

The enemy is the Taxman. His collectors wear grey suits, arrive on schedule, and file the paperwork before they take the barn. They do not roar. They knock.

A village that lives in the world, not in a menu

Villagers take jobs, carry planks, repair walls, get hurt, walk home, rest, and eat from the granary. A farmer sows and waters. A miller grinds. A saw mill eats trees. Everything you own costs something to keep, so a bigger kingdom is a hungrier one — and the Taxman's bill grows with it.

Read who is coming

Walk to the Authority's field office and read tomorrow's collectors off their own notice board — named, counted, with the road they come by. Then decide what to build before dawn.

How long can you hold it?

Every kingdom falls eventually. Your score is the day it fell. Every death names its culprit, and every run can be saved at dawn and resumed later.

What's in the box

  • Third-person combat with knockback, hitstop and a camera that kicks

  • Scarecrow turrets, walls, gates and barricades your hero can vault but collectors cannot

  • A living village with jobs, hunger, injuries and homes

  • Production chains from felled tree to finished wall — and a well to water what you sow

  • A hero skill tree and a shared village tree, free to reset and reallocate

  • Chapters, bosses, and a notice board that tells you who is coming

  • Survival scoring, saved runs, and a death recap that names what got you

  • A blocky look that is the game's identity, not a placeholder

Co-op for up to four

Play alone or with up to three friends on one shared kingdom: shared technology, shared walls, personal hero progression. Host a game, give your friends the code, and hold the line together.

The demo is the first ten days

Days one to ten of the kingdom, free, when the demo goes up. Planned for Early Access first, with the full 100-day kingdom at 1.0.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

An AI coding assistant (Claude, Anthropic) was used under the developer's direction to help write the game's code, some in-game text and the note tables of its music, which is then rendered by our own synthesis code and a licensed instrument sample library. No audio-generation, image-generation or voice models were used: no AI-generated artwork, 3D models, voice or sound recordings ship in the game, on the store page or in marketing materials. Every shipped track is logged in a provenance ledger and checked against YouTube Content ID
