What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The dinner rush is playable, and we want players to help shape what comes next. Early Access gives us time to learn how the campaign, difficulty progression, and Endless play feel across different players and devices. Your feedback will help us improve balance, clarity, and accessibility, and decide which additions to tackle first.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently estimate around three to six months in Early Access. The timing may change as we respond to feedback and develop and test new additions.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the current game with kitchen-specific ingredients, additional cinematics, and more kitchens, chefs, and customization. We also want to explore local and online co-op and Perfect Order, a puzzle mode about clearing boards in a limited number of moves. Player feedback and development will guide the scope, priorities, and timing of these additions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is a single-player falling-pair puzzle game with a 120-order campaign across six space restaurants and four difficulty levels. Endless Dinner Rush offers waves of increasing difficulty and score chasing. Frozen ingredients, sealed deliveries, and dropped cookware add different challenges, with short tutorial videos introducing each obstacle.

Players can unlock six chefs as well as kitchens, outfits, hats, and accessories. The game supports keyboard and controller input and includes options for ingredient labels, a landing guide, reduced motion, subtitles, and audio.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to start Early Access at US$7.99. We expect the price to increase as we add content and expand the game. We plan to share any price changes in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to gather feedback through the in-game Feedback option and Steam Community discussions. Reports on difficulty, tutorials, controls, performance, and accessibility will help us prioritize updates. We plan to share development progress through Steam announcements and explain how player feedback is shaping the game.”

Roadmap

Intergalactic Burger Joint Early Access roadmap. At Early Access launch: 120 campaign orders, six restaurants and chefs, Endless, and unlockable cosmetics. First priority: player feedback, bug fixes, new in-game cinematics, and kitchen-specific ingredients. Later plans include local and online co-op, more cosmetics, kitchens, chefs and customization, and Perfect Order, a limited-move puzzle mode. Timing and scope may change with development and player feedback.

About This Game

You’d think a civilization capable of interstellar travel could figure out lunch. Apparently, that’s your job.

Intergalactic Burger Joint is a falling-pair puzzle game about matching ingredients and feeding hungry customers across six space restaurants. Rotate and drop pairs, line up four of a kind, and clear the ingredients already on the board to finish each order. Set up a cascade and enjoy a brief moment of feeling extremely clever.

You meant to do that. We saw nothing.

Beside the board, your chef cooks and serves the burgers earned by your clears. Customers arrive, collect their food, and head back out into the galaxy. You’ve got the next pair of ingredients to worry about.

120 orders. We probably should have hired more people.

Work your way from Neon Street Diner to Salvage Port Cantina through 120 campaign orders. Finish restaurant chapters to unlock new kitchens and chefs, with outfits, hats, and accessories to earn along the way.

Sure, you have time for one more shift.

Endless starts gently, then picks up as you clear waves. Chase your best score, work toward your chef’s rewards, and find out how long “just one more game” actually lasts.

The hat is part of the job now.

Unlock six chefs and put together their looks with clothing, headwear, and compatible accessories. Good puzzle skills are useful. Having a favorite work outfit is also understandable.

An optional tutorial will help you settle in. Play with a keyboard or gamepad, and adjust ingredient labels, the landing guide, reduced motion, subtitles, and audio to suit you.

Your shift’s ready when you are.

Steam Deck

We’ve successfully played Intergalactic Burger Joint on Steam Deck using Proton and the Deck’s built-in controls. This reflects our own testing and is separate from Valve’s official Steam Deck compatibility rating.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Intergalactic Burger Joint has been a labor of love, with a lot of time, attention, and care put into bringing this little corner of the galaxy to life.

The game’s 3D characters, environments, and props use licensed Synty assets. Generative AI helped create achievement icons, some interface and branding artwork, Steam store images, music, ambient audio, sound effects, and chef and customer voices. It also helped us write in-game text and dialogue.

Choosing what belonged, refining the details, and bringing everything together into a game took time, experimentation, and care. We hope you feel that love in the little details as you play.

All AI-generated content was created during development. Nothing is generated live while you play.
