About This Game

A loot game that sits at the edge of your desk

Idle of Eternity is a borderless, per-pixel transparent window. It lies over your desktop without getting in the way of your work while your hero attacks, clears waves and climbs floors on its own. Glance at it now and then; when you come back, sort the loot, spend talent points, try a new build, and leave it running again.

It is a desktop idle game, not an offline one: progress happens only while the game is open. Every item you see was earned in front of you.

Building is the whole point

  • 14 equipment slots, 5 quality tiers, 2,000+ affixes. A weapon's damage channels are fixed the moment it drops: how many damage types it carries, and how much of each, is rolled. Multi-channel weapons are the key to composite builds, not a flat upgrade.
  • Five damage types, with attack and spell as orthogonal sides. Physical, fire, cold, lightning and chaos each have their own scaling pool and ailment. Stack one and break through, or stack several and collect the composite bonuses. Both work.
  • Skills are ranked by coverage, not by numbers. Single target, arc, projectile, rain, persistent ground: skills of the same shape deal the same damage per second. What differs is how many enemies one cast reaches and how many times. Over a hundred active, support and aura skills, levelled by kills.
  • Three talent trees, always free to reset. Hero talents, ascension and map strategy add up to 400+ nodes, including uncapped infinite nodes, double-edged nodes with a cost attached, and mutually exclusive groups. Switching builds is a setting, not a gamble.
  • 13 classes across 5 stages. A new stage unlocks every 20 levels from level 20. Classes grant talents and passives only, never skills; who your hero is comes from everything else you put together.

No shop, no selling

Gear comes from monsters and nowhere else. Spare items are salvaged into essence; essence, gold and protection stones feed the craft bench for enhancing, rerolling and crafting. Epic and mythic quality never drop; they can only be gambled for at the bench.

Floors and rotations

  • The Rift: floors 1 to 100. Higher floors mean more, tougher monsters and better drops.
  • Endless Challenge: unlocked after clearing floor 100, with no ceiling. Every 100 floors the monster population rotates, changing silhouettes, ailments and where the pressure comes from.
  • Training Ground: fifty dummies or one boss dummy, any floor you like, to read the numbers. Produces nothing.

Also

  • 200+ achievements, rewarded automatically on completion.
  • An activity log that records every drop, level-up, unlock and achievement.
  • Config tables ship as plain CSV next to the executable. Tweak the numbers yourself; your save lives elsewhere and survives a re-extract.
  • Interface in Simplified Chinese and English, switchable at any time, existing items included.
  • Single save slot with autosave. Offline single-player, no account, no purchases.

Before you buy

  • The window covers your primary monitor and is mouse-driven. No controller support.
  • There is no offline progress. Closed means paused.
  • This is a one-person project. Numbers and content will keep being tuned.
