What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Project Night Lights is an ambitious text-based simulation packed with deep mechanics. As a solo developer, building and polishing every planned feature prior to release would take a very long time.

By launching in Early Access, we can put the game into players' hands much sooner. Gathering direct feedback through Discord, Reddit, and X will allow us to fine-tune game balance, improve the UI, expand mechanics, and evolve the game more efficiently toward higher quality.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Based on community feedback and our own passion for this project, we plan to release the full version within roughly 2 years.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full release will feature a revamped UI and enhanced visual feedback, allowing players to grasp and manage in-game situations more intuitively.

The Early Access version launches with only a basic UI and minimal actions implemented, but toward 1.0, we'll continuously work on improving usability, adding new presentation and content, and optimizing performance.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Right now, the core systems and main features are already implemented. Because the game uses a data-driven approach to parameter management, we can quickly adjust and update game balance and the in-game economy throughout Early Access based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, there are no plans to change the price. This is to thank everyone who supports the project from the very beginning. What this game needs isn't a massive budget—it's the time to build it carefully, our passion for development, and a community willing to share feedback.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Development will move forward through real feedback from players' gameplay, along with development updates we'll share along the way. We'll be gathering feedback through our Discord server, the Steam Community Hub, and X, while also sharing our development progress there.”

About This Game

In San Verde, the law is absolute.

Except for you.

Rise through the underworld, evade law enforcement, and carve out your own empire.

Run brothels under the radar, or take the gamble on cooking narcotics for fast, dirty cash. Then, launder your cash through legit-looking fronts to cover your tracks.

Slip up, and someone's dead. you can't afford dead weight who can't hack it. Surround yourself only with your trusted inner circle, or risk bringing in hungry outsiders, the choice is yours.

You can't sell top-shelf goods to broke marks. Know your buyers, and pick your targets wisely.

High-risk jobs require firepower, but flashing guns on the street will only put a bullseye on your back. One slip, and your crew's behind bars.

Losing your crew—or landing in a cell yourself—won't end your rise. It'll just cost you.

Do you have what it takes?
