About This Demo

You launch a missile. Then you have to fly it.

Get it through the course, hit the target, do it fast.

The demo has a handful of levels, freestyle, and four abilities. The game is about three months old so there's a lot more coming: more levels, more abilities, a level editor with workshop support, replay system. I read everything people say about the demo and it decides what I work on next.

Steering

The missile steers relative to the camera. Push left, it goes left on your screen, no matter which way it's actually pointing. You don't have to think about its orientation. Everything rebinds, and controller works the same as keyboard.

If something about steering doesn't feel right, there is a high chance you can change it in settings.

Levels

Short obstacle courses set in different sceneries. Fly through, take out the target, and do it as fast as you can.

Style points

You also get scored on how you fly. Skimming walls, scorching them with your exhaust, hard turns that spike the G-meter, hitting the target straight out of a grapple swing. Riskier and tighter is worth more.

Only the amount you beat your own best by goes into the bank. Replaying an easy level won't farm you anything. The bank is what you spend on abilities.

Abilities

The missile isn't just a flying brick. A small set of active abilities change how you approach each run:

  • Grapple hook — latch onto a surface and use your momentum to slingshot around corners

  • Super boost — a short, hard burn that commits you to whatever line you're on

  • Slow motion — buy yourself a moment to read what's ahead, at the cost of time

  • Drag chute — bleed speed fast; useful for tight corners you'd otherwise blow through

Checkpoints

There are optional checkpoints scattered around. You don't need them to finish. Fly through one, get style points. Get all of them in one run and there's a bonus plus a separate leaderboard for full-checkpoint runs.

Ghosts

A see-through copy of your best run flies next to you so you can see where you're losing time to yourself. One ghost for your fastest run, one for your best all-checkpoints run. Turn either off if you don't want them.

Skin editor

Paint your own missile. Brush, color picker, stickers you can move, scale and rotate anywhere on the model. You can drop in your own images and use those as stickers too. Your skin shows up everywhere in the game. Doesn't affect anything.

Honk

Press H to honk.

Rocket Car Soccer Mode

An alternative control scheme borrowed from a certain car-football game. Instead of camera-based steering you get direct pitch, yaw and roll, plus an air-roll modifier you hold to turn yaw into roll. It's there for practice, or for anyone who already knows these controls and would rather fly the missile that way. Thrust works exactly the same as in normal flight, so times set in this mode are directly comparable. Every binding can be rebound separately, and the sensitivity, inversion and drag settings are all in the menu if you want to tune the feel.

Freestyle

No clock. Just fly around, do cool tricks, destroy the targets or try flying through checkpoints.

Made for people who like the speed and tight gap threading of Superflight or the momentum feel of Clustertruck.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

There are no living beings involved, only cartoony depictions of a missile destroying non-living objects.
