The horde is coming. Be the one who stays.

Realm Protectors is a top-down wave-survival roguelite in the spirit of the "survivors" genre, with one big difference: you're never just walking. Your basic attack fires on its own, but your abilities are yours to time. Burst, escape, or control the crowd at exactly the right moment.

Four heroes, four ways to fight

• Warrior: spin through the pack with Whirlwind, shake the ground with Bulwark Slam, rally with War Cry, and fight beside Pebble the golem.
• Mage: call down meteors, arc Chain Lightning through the crowd, with Ember the fire pixie at your side.
• Archer: rain down volleys, snare the horde and pierce it with Longshot, backed by Sprout, a tree that fights back.
• Rogue: shadowstep through danger, poison the ground with Toxic Cloud, and let Nix the kobold stab whatever gets close.

Every hero has a devastating ultimate. Save it for the moment everything goes wrong.

Build something ridiculous

Level up mid-fight and pick from upgrade cards that stack, combine and compound. By the end of a run you won't be surviving the horde. You'll be deleting it.

Four realms, and a boss at the end of every round

• The Wildlands: slimes, goblins and orcs overrun a storybook forest.

• The Inferno: imps, skeletons and molten brutes in a world on fire.

• The Necropolis: mummies, jackal warriors and golems beneath the sands, ruled by Anubis himself.

• A fourth realm: coming soon. Its secrets are still under wraps.

Every boss hits differently. Learn their attacks, or be crushed by them.

Every hero grows their own way

Each hero earns their own crystals and has their own skill tree. Unlock new abilities, companions and permanent upgrades. The more you play a hero, the more that hero becomes yours. And if you have to stop, you can pick your run back up where you left off.

Local Co-Op

Grab a second controller and fight side by side. Two heroes, one screen,  a dynamic split-screen keeps you together when you're close and divides cleanly when you spread out. Choose different classes, share XP and loot, and revive each other when one of you goes down. The horde doesn't get easier with a friend,  enemies hit harder to match the both of you.

Difficulty Tiers

Normal, Hard, Nightmare, and Realmbreaker.  Each tier ramps up enemy health, damage, and elite frequency, and pays out more crystals and XP in return. Nightmare and Realmbreaker unlock once you've beaten the final boss, for players who want the real challenge.

Game Modes — Normal & Endless

Beat all five rounds in a Normal run, or keep going forever in Endless Mode. Every loop makes the horde stronger and pays out more crystals. How many loops can you survive?
