Build your machine, connect moving parts, set goals, and watch physics take over. Professor Otto Correct has a workshop, a cat, and many parts that were never meant to go together.

Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Our game is built around experimentation, physics, and creative problem-solving, so your feedback is especially valuable to us. This allows us to improve the levels, refine the physics simulation, and learn which types of parts and mechanics players enjoy using most. We want to develop the game alongside the community and use your feedback to help shape the final version.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Machine Madness to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 months. This may change depending on your feedback and the amount of additional content and polish we decide the game needs before the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include more levels, additional machine parts and mechanical components, improved building tools, further physics and performance improvements, and additional polish throughout the game. We also plan to refine existing content and introduce new challenges based on feedback from the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core experience. Players can build machines using a variety of components, interact with the physics simulation, and complete physics-based challenges by creating their own solutions. The main gameplay systems are functional and playable, but the game is still being expanded and refined. Players may encounter physics quirks, bugs, and features that change during development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently plan to offer Machine Madness at a lower price during Early Access. The price may increase as new content, features, and improvements are added when the game reaches its full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role in our development process. We are excited to follow discussions, your valuable reviews, bug reports, and suggestions throughout Early Access.”

About This Game

Machine Madness is a 2D physics-based machine-building game where you place parts, connect mechanisms, and adjust your design. Every component interacts with the physics simulation, turning simple designs into unpredictable mechanical experiments.

  • Build, run, adjust

Drag parts onto the board, rotate them, flip them, nudge them. The machine plays out under real physics. No scripted outcomes. Failure is usually more informative than success. There are no lives, no currency and no timers counting down.

  • Over fifty parts, each used for something unique

Multiple categories: Balls & Weights, Structure, Mechanisms, Force & Air, Power & Wiring, Critters, and Targets. Every part carries its own description in the in-game Parts Gallery.

  • Campaign

Hand-built puzzles in Campaign mode.

Each one keeps a record of your fewest parts and your fastest run and the only record to beat is the one you set yourself.

  • Sandbox: Build your own

+ The entire catalogue, with no limits on what you place, on boards up to 3200x1600 — and up to 400 parts in a single machine.

+ Turn a contraption into a puzzle by putting a win condition on any part: it must be touched, or it must be activated. Use several and require all of them, or any one.

+ The objective line a player reads is generated from those conditions, so it can never disagree with the machine it describes.

+ Stock a shelf of parts for whoever plays it — anything in the catalogue, one to twenty of each.

+ Name your machines, copy them, and play them back. Creations are saved on your own PC.

Otto and Bracket

Professor Otto Correct keeps the workshop. Bracket is his cat, and Otto is straightforward about him.

  • We provide some settings and options to be changed such as,

+ Windowed, borderless or exclusive fullscreen, with resolution, V-sync and a frame cap.

+ Two graphics quality tiers.

+ Keyboard rebinding.

+ Interface scale, screen-shake scale, and a reduce-motion switch.

System Requirements

    Minimum:
    • OS: Windows 11
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Storage: 1 GB available space
