A quiet valley won't stay quiet for long.

Zompioland is a top-down survival and base-defense game for one to four players. Explore the valley, gather resources, and build a settlement strong enough to withstand what arrives after dark. Every day is a chance to prepare. Every night puts those preparations to the test.

BUILD YOUR DEFENSE

Place walls, turrets, traps, and production buildings around your central base. Upgrade your settlement, improve your equipment, and decide where your limited resources will matter most. Recruit archers, knights, and villagers to help defend and maintain the valley.

SURVIVE THE NIGHT

Enemy waves bring different threats, from familiar attackers to dangerous specialists and powerful bosses. Weather and special night events can change the pressure on your defenses. Rival kingdoms may also launch raids with their own soldiers and siege forces.

FIND YOUR WAY TO FIGHT BACK

Fight alongside your defenses, discover magical equipment, ride mounts, or take control of a harvester and a combat mech. Beyond the walls, the black hole presents another challenge: it demands resources as your settlement grows.

PLAY TOGETHER

Build and defend on your own or share the work in online co-op for up to four players. Gather, construct, repair, and fight together as you try to keep your valley standing for one more night.

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

OpenAI's ChatGPT and Codex, including image-generation tools accessed through them, were used during the development of Zompioland. AI-assisted work includes programming and development scripts, code used to construct procedural 3D models and visual effects, interface elements, localization, and written in-game text.

AI assistance was also used to create and prepare pre-generated Steam marketing materials, including capsule and library artwork, header graphics, the game logo, store-page text, and the trailer's planning, titles, and editing. The trailer's gameplay footage was captured from the actual game. Steam gameplay screenshots are direct captures of the game, while AI-assisted promotional artwork is presented as store graphics rather than gameplay screenshots.

The developer reviewed, edited, tested, and integrated the AI-assisted work. Some models and effects are assembled while the game runs by conventional game code; this is not live generative AI. Zompioland does not connect to a generative AI service or use a generative AI model to create new content during gameplay.
