About This Game

ABOUT THE GAME

Four Ways — Chapter 1 is a narrative survival horror game inspired by interactive gamebooks, built around simple and immediate choices.

You wake up inside an isolated house while heavy rain falls outside. Something has happened, and what once seemed like a safe place has become dangerous. You must explore the rooms, find resources, face hostile creatures and survive long enough to discover what is really happening.

EXPLORE AND CHOOSE

The game is built around a four-direction choice system. During exploration and key moments, you decide which action to take, which path to follow, or how to react to a dangerous situation.

Your decisions may lead you to useful items, new areas, unexpected dangers or combat encounters.

Explore different rooms inside the house and the surrounding areas, inspect your environment and search for anything that may help you survive and progress.

COMBAT

When you encounter a creature, you must decide how to deal with it.

Weapons are divided into different categories and ranges:

• Melee weapons

• Short-range weapons

• Long-range weapons

Fighting is not always the best option. You can also choose to escape, but fleeing may have consequences.

Health is not automatically restored after each encounter, and ammunition is limited, so every fight can affect the battles that follow.

STEALTH

Some situations can be handled without entering direct combat.

Certain tools and weapons can allow you to avoid or eliminate a threat more quietly, if you manage to find the right opportunity.

ITEMS AND RESOURCES

During exploration, you can find weapons, ammunition, tools and useful objects.

Some materials can be combined to create new tools or items needed to overcome specific situations.

Choosing when to use a resource and when to save it is an important part of survival.

SURVIVAL AND CHECKPOINTS

Health and resources must be managed carefully.

The game uses a checkpoint system that allows you to continue the adventure from specific moments without restarting the entire chapter.

CHAPTER 1 — PROLOGUE

This first chapter introduces the world of Four Ways, its main exploration, combat and survival mechanics, and the beginning of the story.

Survive the house, face what is hiding inside it, and discover what awaits beyond its walls.
