What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I am releasing in Early Access so I can refine the core atmosphere, gameplay foundation, and overall feel of the game with player feedback.

My goals during Early Access are to:
• Improve atmosphere, tone, and presentation based on player input
• Strengthen the core gameplay systems and foundations
• Fix a lot of bugs, polish existing content, and balance the experience
• Add and iterate on new features while the game is still flexible
”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“1 Year”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the home dome: the open voxel world, survival, crafting, building your own base, flying your shuttle, riding a dragon, the capital ship, the Red Eye, and escaping the dome.

For the full version I plan to:

Open up more of the other 13 domes, each with its own world, such as a volcano, a glacier, a reef, a fungal forest and salt flats
Add more creatures, bosses and places to explore
Add more weapons, blueprints and things to build
Improve performance, balance and controls based on player feedback
Keep fixing bugs and polishing the look and feel of the world”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“ORBITER is fully playable from start to finish. You can wake in the bunker, explore the home dome, survive the weather and seasons, build a base, craft weapons, fly your own shuttle, ride a dragon, take down the capital ship and the Red Eye, recover your memories and escape. Your progress saves.

It is still in active development, so expect some bugs, rough edges and performance hiccups. Some parts of the world, like the other domes, are not open yet.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Same price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will directly shape what gets fixed and added next. I plan to read and reply to the Steam discussions and reviews, share regular updates about what's changed, and use bug reports and suggestions to decide what to work on. If something feels unfair, confusing or not fun, I want to hear about it.”
