About This Game

From a campfire in the snow to a Liangshan stronghold bustling with outlaws and supply routes.

Stack Heroes combines card-stacking survival and management with real-time card battles in a single-player adventure inspired by Water Margin. Feed and house your companions, turn scattered work into a steady supply of goods, and head into battle with the equipment and provisions you have made.

Stack cards. Keep your camp alive.

Stack heroes on locations and facilities to gather and produce. Combine materials using recipes to cook meals, construct buildings and craft equipment. Grow from a simple fire and a hot meal into farming, fishing, tile making, mining and forging.

Sell spare cards and open packs for resources, locations and new recipes. Gathering sites run out, food spoils and every companion needs to eat. Will you store another day's meals, build more shelter or welcome someone new?

Connect routes. Put production in motion.

Link wells, fields, kitchens and storage with transport teams. Water, grain and finished goods travel along the routes you set. Filter cargo, assign routes and keep transport fees paid to turn manual deliveries into automatic supply chains.

Plan around the landscape. Resource facilities need suitable terrain, forests and water slow deliveries, and bridges offer faster crossings. Rearrange facilities and shorten routes to support a larger camp with the people you have.

Recruit outlaws. Put their talents to work.

Meet Water Margin characters including Lin Chong, Zhu Gui, Chao Gai and Wu Yong. Follow leads to recruit companions, make room for them and assign work that suits their talents. Mix weapons, armor and accessories to prepare your band for battle.

Their strengths range from gathering and construction to production and trade. In combat, attacks, protection, disruption and healing offer new ways to work together. Decide who keeps the camp running and who joins the next expedition.

Deploy your band. Defend your stronghold.

Choose your companions, pack provisions and arrange their positions before battle. Once fighting begins, issue movement, focus-fire and hold-position orders. Make weapon reach, obstacles and hero abilities work together, and pause whenever you need to assess the fight and give orders.

Bandits and soldiers can also invade the management tabletop itself. Bring workers back to defend your supplies and buildings while the rest of the camp keeps running.

Find your footing at Liangshan. Plan the convoy heist.

Follow Lin Chong's escape through the snow, establish yourself at Liangshan, then join Chao Gai as he builds up the outpost, confronts Wang Lun and faces the authorities. Take an optional detour to gather companions, brew wine and prepare the birthday convoy heist. Chinese-style card art, character dialogue and comic panels connect the work of running a camp with the story's battles.

The current development build contains a prologue, two main-story chapters and the optional birthday convoy side story. Each chapter starts a fresh camp, while learned recipes carry over within the same profile. The side story is not required to continue the main story.

Gameplay clips show a development build with the Simplified Chinese interface, including prepared camp and battle setups. Story sequences are excerpted.
