Winning Post 8 2017 is the latest in the detailed horse racing simulation Winning Post series, a series that has prospered for over 20 years. The game is based on Japanese horse-racing and players become an owner/breeder in a miniature horse racing world. This release builds upon the previous Winning Post 8, adding various new elements to create an even more dramatic, even more fulfilling horse racing owner’s life.

■Carve your name into Horseracing Legend! The Top 100 Horses of History, ranking!
We have introduced a ranking of the top 100 stars that have torn up the turf of Japan’s horseracing world. Players can try their horses against such legendary stars as Symboli Rudolf, Deep Impact, and Orfevre. At the same time, through their horses and their victories, players will continue to create their very own horse racing history.
In addition, famous horses will be introduced with actual snapshots, bringing out the feel of the age they lived and raced in.

■Added many more star horses by incorporating the latest race lists, like the Osaka Hai, for Grade 1 hopefuls!
We have matched the game to the latest 2017 race lists, beginning with the Osaka Hai and the Hopeful Stakes, both races for allowing horses to advance to the coveted Grade 1 rank.
We have also added the G1 Pegasus World Cup (Dirt course 1800m), newly created and sporting the highest prize in the world, including a new model for the Gulfstream Park Race Course.
We have prepared over 300 star horses, including the classic ranks of 2016, like Dee Majesty, as well as the rising hopefuls for 2017, like the Queen of the 2 yr. olds, Soul Stirring, and many, many more.

■New Command “Charm Bonus” and New training system “Strength Training”
With Charm Bonus, using certain items called Charms in game allow players a number of different effects. These effects range from improving a horse’s chronic disease, setting visuals or paths, adding new characters, and so on.
Also, the new training system will be added at the ranch. Though it drains the horse’s vigor tremendously, it also allows for large improvements to their base abilities.

■Improved Breeding Theories
Using the series Breeding theories as a base, we have added various theories to the breeding mix. These include some based on improving the Dam line, interesting combinations that occur under special conditions, and various other possibilities that will help breeders breed the strongest possible race horse.
Have even more fun with Race horse breeding, called a blood sport.

■Overwhelmingly realistic race scenes
We have added camera work to the races, to allow for scenes that will excite any racing enthusiast. Also, we have recreated the distinctive motion of a running racehorse, as well as added variations for the narration for the race, the course and even the ranches, greatly increasing the feel of personally being there and watching the race yourself.
