Fortress-Building Tower Defense

Gobillions is a tower defense game about building a fortress against an overwhelming goblin horde. Draw your defenses across the battlefield, combine steel and sorcery into powerful chains of attacks, and adapt as the enemy tears your walls apart. When your towers need help, cast powerful spells to protect your defenses and break the enemy advance.

Build a fortress worth defending.

  • Shape the battlefield. Draw walls, build towers at their corners, and cover narrow approaches with overlapping fields of fire.
  • Build your own arsenal. Mix archers, ballistas, cannons, rapid-fire guns, and specialized spellcasters. Research a tower type, then build it where your defense needs it.
  • Turn kills into defenses. Spend Gold from defeated enemies on construction and stronger fortifications. Use Arcana to research towers, walls, and spells.
  • Prepare a fallback. Layer your defenses and replace towers as new threats arrive. Collapsing masonry can crush attackers, but a breach also opens a route to your castle.

Choose how your defenses evolve.

  • Make spells work together. Send lightning through networks of Nova Crystals to spread attacks across your defenses.
  • Shatter charged ice. Combine Ice Mages with lightning to break ice spikes into damaging shards that unleash more lightning.
  • Set the ground ablaze. An Alchemist slows and poisons enemies. A Mage's fireball ignites the poison pool.
  • Bend the beam. Split a Farcaster's continuous beam through Nova Crystals, or contain its ricochets inside a field formed by connected Anchor Crystals.

Survive the collapse.

  • Face different threats. Fast Wargs, wall-climbing goblins, flying Wyverns, Trolls, and Siege Giants demand different answers from your towers.
  • Change the battle with magic. Call down Meteor Impact, freeze a crowd with Glacial Prison, summon an Inferno golem, unleash Thunderhead, or protect your defenses with Aegis.
  • Keep the castle standing. Surviving defenses carry into the next round. Rebuild your line and meet the next assault; if your castle falls, the defense is over.
