About This Game

The nests are hatching. The sky is full of teeth. You have a ship, a trigger, and terrible odds.

Pterodactyl Slap! is a free arcade shooter built like the cabinets of 1982 never stopped evolving: wireframe vector glow, a CRT bezel, an attract mode, and a design that wants your initials on its board, not your wallet.

BLAST THROUGH 15 FLOORS

Destroy every nest to unseal the exit while the brood pours in from every roost. The clock is ticking; the deeper you go, the faster it burns.

MEET THE BESTIARY

Standard flyers, needle-fast darters, armored bigs, flame-spitting pyros, and warpers that blink through your aim. Every creature is drawn live by the same vector code that lights the bosses.

FIGHT THE DYNASTY

Every fifth floor belongs to a boss: THE MATRIARCH and her endless brood, THE CONSORTS hunting as twin shadows, and THE COLOSSUS, the old one, waiting at the bottom of it all.

ARM UP

Weapon pods drop on every floor: 4-WAY, X-WAY, SCATTER, WAVE, LAZOR, screen-clearing BOMBS, and orbiting SHIELDS. Or hold the trigger and release a fully charged slap.

BRING A CO-PILOT

A second player drops in at any moment: mid-run, mid-boss, no menus. Separate ships, separate scores, shared danger. A spent pilot can buy back in and rejoin the hunt.

CHASE THE BOARD

Continues are honest, scores are permanent, and the top-ten hi-score board takes three initials, arcade-style. The cabinet remembers.

GRAB A PAD

Full controller support for one or two players — every action from coin-in to signing your initials is on the pad, and the game pauses itself if a controller drops out. Plays great on Steam Deck: a native Linux build, the Deck’s own controls work out of the box, and nothing to tinker with.

Original soundtrack, spoken weapon callouts, and a demo reel that plays itself if you stand there too long. It's an arcade machine that lives on your computer, and the coin slot is free.
