Your desktop becomes the game

• Replace the standard mouse cursor with a customizable crosshair.

• Adjust the crosshair style, size, color and outline.

• A pixel-art weapon follows your aim with smooth FPS-inspired movement.

• Mouse clicks still pass through to Windows normally.

Zombies can appear at any time

From time to time, zombies will walk across your desktop.

• Regular zombies take three standard shots to defeat.

• Headshots deal additional damage.

• Defeated enemies remain briefly where they fall.

• Golden zombies have a chance to drop weapon skins.

• Skins range from Common to Mythic rarity.

• Track kills, headshots, accuracy and other statistics.

• Progress through ranks from Silver to Global.

• Daily objectives and horde events provide additional challenges.

Designed to stay out of your way

MouseShooter was built to run alongside your normal desktop use.

• The overlay is click-through, so applications, desktop icons and the taskbar remain usable.

• Choose how often enemies appear:

•   Relaxed: approximately every 2–5 minutes.

•   Frequent: increased spawn rate.

•   Intense: enemies appear much more often.

• Rare rewards use the same approximate hourly drop rate regardless of spawn mode.

• Very low CPU usage while idle.

• Optional startup with Windows.

• Runs from the system tray.

At launch, MouseShooter includes:

Skins can be unlocked by defeating enemies or obtained as drops from golden zombies, with drop chances based on rarity.

Asset packs are stored in accessible folders, making the game friendly to custom content and modding.

Pre-generated content: the weapon and enemy sprites, the store artwork (capsules, library
images and background), and the interface translations into Simplified Chinese, Russian,
Spanish, German and French were created with the help of generative AI tools and then edited,
cropped, recoloured and assembled by hand by the developer.

Everything else was made by the developer: the application code, the gameplay systems, the
sound design, the English and Portuguese texts, and the mod tools.

No generative AI runs at runtime: the app ships only fixed image and audio files.

The game is a desktop overlay where small pixel-art zombies walk across the screen and are
shot. Sprites are about 90 pixels tall. Blood is stylized red pixels, and a defeated enemy
leaves a small pixel blood pool and fades out after about 1.5 seconds. No gore, no dismemberment,
no human characters, no weapons pointed at people.
