The Demon Wants to Marry the Princess, or Lose Her at Poker combines poker, special abilities, and sleight of hand with managing a castle full of living cards. Win at the poker table to unlock new rooms, then prepare your deck for the next opponent back at the castle.

The King of Darkness asked for your daughter’s hand. You said no. He cursed your entire kingdom. Now only twenty cards remain of the Card World, and the princess is trapped in a distant corner of the castle. To break the curse, you must beat five demons, then deal with your would-be son-in-law himself.

Your residents are your deck. Each has their own room, story, and role in restoring the kingdom. Free rooms from the curse, discover new residents, and strengthen your cards before the final showdown.

Build poker hands, discard unwanted cards, and use abilities to take your opponent’s money. Each demon plays with a unique deck featuring special suits and characters. One lucky hand may not be enough.

Watch your opponent’s eyes and hands. React in time to catch them cheating, or seize the moment to cheat yourself. Peek at their cards, hide an ace up your sleeve, swap a card in your deck, or sneak in an extra discard.

Prepare even more nasty surprises back at the castle. Strengthen your cards, curse your opponent’s, and slip traitors into their deck. At this table, sleight of hand might just save the kingdom.

Between matches, return to a castle full of cursed rooms, blocked passages, and residents who could use something to do. Assign jobs, collect income, and create upgrades for future hands.

Send the Jack of Clubs to the forge to craft a second suit for the Nine of Diamonds. Move the Queen of Spades into the King of Hearts’ room and see how their meeting changes her card. Have an Ace clear the dungeon to open a path to a new part of the castle.

Experiment with jobs and bring different residents together. Discover combinations that unlock upgrades, and follow their stories through scenes of castle life. As your residents work, the castle earns money and prepares your deck for new challenges.

Every victory at the table helps reclaim a piece of your kingdom. Every room you free gives you new ways to win. Reach the King of Darkness and teach him to take no for an answer, in the only language he understands.
