Eldon Desktop Buddy puts Eldon and his friends on your desktop. They hang around while you work, react when you click them, and occasionally get on with something of their own. Drag them somewhere useful. Or somewhere annoying.

It's a free desktop toy with a cast of voiced, animated characters, three games, and a few other things to distract you.

Pick your desktop buddy

Choose from 13 characters: Eldon, Darek, Gimblee, Wex Gurbley, Josiah, Flomdinicus, Mefaniti, Scroll Guy, Jon Arthon, Nippstain, Gungst, Carl and The New Lord. Each has their own animations and sounds.

Click your buddy to make them do something. Drag them around, give them a flick, or open the right-click menu to choose an action. Change characters whenever you want.

Make yourself at home

• Choose your buddy's size, volume and how often they act, from every 30 seconds to once an hour.
  
• Mute the voices and effects, switch background music on or off, and hide or call back your buddy.
  
• Choose from 27 desktop backgrounds and spawn objects from North Panus and Valenvoss.
  
• Make menu text larger with Normal, Large and Huge text settings.

Eldon Pinball
Play a pinball table with a rent bill to pay. Keep the ball moving and put your score on the online board.

PeeBitties Mania
Guide Eldon through a platforming adventure. Jump, fly, steer your spells and collect PeeBitties. There are enemies to avoid and records to beat.

Legend of the Red Droar
Dial into the North Panus Intranet for a text adventure you can return to each day. Fight in the forest, earn petucks, train, buy weapons and armour, fish, take on errands and visit Merlap's Mead. Reach level 10 and face the Red Droar.

Online, you can duel other players, use the live chat wall, send private mail and read the Gazette. Your progress saves as you play, and the forest gives you fresh fights each day.

More ways to avoid what you were doing

Join Darek in the common room and play music, including your own MP3s. Discuss life with Arthur. Check your records and the online boards on the Big Rock of Moderately Important People.

For streamers, Realm Broadcast provides a separate window with L.O.R.D. chat, news and events that you can capture in your streaming software.

Characters drawn and animated in Toon Boom Harmony, human voice actors and original music. Familiar faces if you know the show. Lots of unknown characters if you don't.

Keyboard and mouse required. Online features need an internet connection.
