Why Early Access?

“We are releasing Great Tribal Wars in Early Access to improve and balance the game's core systems together with the community. We plan to use player feedback to refine the economy, diplomacy, warfare, AI, and multiplayer systems. During Early Access, our focus will be on improving performance, fixing issues, and making the existing systems more balanced and complete.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Great Tribal Wars to remain in Early Access for approximately 1–2 months. This timeframe may change depending on player feedback, bug fixes, balancing, and the overall progress of development.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Great Tribal Wars is planned to feature more complete, balanced, and polished versions of the game’s core systems. During Early Access, we plan to improve the economy, diplomacy, warfare, AI, and multiplayer systems based on player feedback. We also intend to add new content, additional features, interface improvements, performance optimizations, and balance adjustments. Our goal is for the full release to offer more content, better balance, and a more complete overall experience than the Early Access version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Great Tribal Wars is currently playable and includes the core gameplay systems. City management, economy, resource production, army creation, warfare, diplomacy, AI, weather and terrain effects, and the core structure of the multiplayer system are already implemented.

Some systems are still being improved and balanced during Early Access. Based on player feedback, we plan to further refine AI behavior, economic balance, warfare, diplomacy, multiplayer features, user interface, and performance. Additional content and new features are also planned during development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Great Tribal Wars is planned to be priced approximately 10% lower during Early Access compared to the full release price. Once the game leaves Early Access, the Early Access pricing will end and the game will be sold at its standard full release price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively involve the community throughout the development process. We will monitor player feedback through Steam community discussions, reviews, and bug reports. We are particularly interested in feedback regarding game balance, AI behavior, economy, warfare, diplomacy, multiplayer features, and the overall user experience. During Early Access, we aim to use community feedback to fix issues, improve existing systems, and help determine the priorities for future features and updates.”

About This Game

Great Tribal Wars is a real-time strategy game where you lead your civilization from a growing kingdom to a dominant world power.

Choose your civilization, expand your territory, develop your cities, manage your economy, raise powerful armies, and decide how you will deal with rival nations. Victory requires more than simply building the largest army. Resources, population, logistics, diplomacy, terrain, weather, and the timing of your decisions can determine the fate of your kingdom.

Every city is an important part of your realm. Manage resources such as gold, food, wood, iron, and stone, construct specialized buildings, strengthen your economy, and prepare your settlements to support an expanding military. Poor management can weaken your armies and slow your expansion, while a strong economy can give you the advantage in a long war.

Build armies using different unit types and adapt your forces to the situation. Terrain and weather can influence military operations, making the location and timing of a campaign important. Defend your borders, pursue enemy forces, besiege cities, and expand your civilization through conquest.

War is not your only option. Use diplomacy to manage your relations with other civilizations, negotiate peace, form agreements, respond to threats, and decide which nations can be trusted. Alliances and diplomatic decisions can change the balance of power across the map.

Your kingdom is more than an army. Population, happiness, taxation, food supply, city development, resource production, and logistics all contribute to its survival. Expanding too quickly without the economy to support it can become just as dangerous as an enemy invasion.

Each campaign can develop differently as civilizations expand, fight, negotiate, and compete for control of the world.

Build your kingdom. Manage your resources. Command your armies. Choose your allies carefully. Conquer your rivals — but while doing all of this, never forget your strategy.

Generative AI tools were used during development to assist in creating pre-generated content included in the game and its Steam store presence. This includes selected in-game UI icons, unit and building artwork, other visual assets, Steam capsule and library artwork, promotional/store graphics, and AI-assisted localization and translated text. All AI-assisted content is pre-generated, reviewed, and manually selected by the developer before inclusion. The game does not use generative AI to generate content or code during gameplay and does not connect to external generative AI services while running.
