About This Game

A LIVING WORLD BEFORE THE FIRST TURN

Create and shape a huge world on a living 3D globe. Climate, continents, terrain, resources, and countless other parameters can be adjusted directly through the world generator - with real-time previews of the results even before the game begins.

No need to repeatedly restart a new game just to find the world you want. Refine and edit the generated map, adjust your starting conditions and make the world fit the campaign you have in mind.

Do you prefer the unknown? Shrouded World hides precise coastlines, biomes, and geography while revealing the broad shape of the world - letting you choose where to start without sacrificing the thrill of exploration.

TRITILE™ — MORE STRATEGY IN EVERY PIECE OF THE MAP

TriTile™ combines triangular and hexagonal logic on a map where Tiles, Nodes and Edges are meaningful strategic spaces.

Build a city on a hub surrounded by settlements and infrastructure, fortify borders with walls and fortifications along the edges, or deploy military formations in different positions to control the battlefield.

Instead of to simply make the map bigger, TriTile™ creates more ways to build, move, defend and fight in the same space.

FLOWLINES™ — A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND NUMBERS

Complex strategy shouldn't require you to leaving the world for another spreadsheet every time you make decision.

With FlowLines™ visual interface, resources, production, labor, supply and other relationships can be traced directly on the map. See where something comes from, where it goes, how it's used, and what it ultimately produces, then interact with the system where it happens.

CoreFilters allow you to instantly change what the world displays and focus only on the information you need, turning the same map into different strategic views without burying the game under layers of menus.

WARLOG™ — NEVER WONDER WHAT HAPPENED AGAIN

What happened last turn? Where did my army go? And how did the enemy break through here?

WarLog™ is designed to make big battles understandable even after the action is over. Get up-to-date on the battlefield and watch attacks, advances, retreats, breakthroughs and defenses live where they happened.

Battlemarks turn the battlefield into a readable strategic map that shows the direction of an attack, a successful defense, or the point where your front collapsed.

Instead of just seeing the score, you can understand how the battle unfolded - and why.

The battle is in full swing!

With most of the battlefield under enemy control, the Macemen hold off the Horde onslaught, while the Man-at-arms pushes the enemy back with his attack.

On the other flank - horse archers, who with quick blitz attacks forced the crossbowmen to retreat, but the Knights and the Longsword are already rushing to help... What will happen next...?

GUIDE A LIVING CIVILIZATION — NOT JUST NUMBERS AND BONUSES

Your people are more than abstract population points allocated to resource slots.

Population groups have their own social class, needs and traits shaped by their history and circumstances. Their identity affects how they see the world, what ideas they support, and how they respond to decisions made by those who govern them.

Politics is not just a set of passive modifiers. People and their identities can gain influence, support different leaders and ideologies, resist your decisions - and, when tensions become strong enough, challenge the political order itself.

A solution that solves one problem today can create a divide, able to change the shape of an entire civilizations tomorrow.

SO… WHO ARE THE CIV WATCHERS?

Most games put you in control of one civilization.

CivWatchers mode completely changes the rules.

Pick and become one of many supernatural entities- Civ Watchers - with their own nature, abilities and goals - then influence a world of civilizations without directly ruling any one of them.

A Spirit of Nature may protect ecosystems and dwindling resources, answering unchecked expansion with natural disasters. A God of War thrives on conflict, whispering dangerous ambitions into the minds of leaders. A Reptilian Serpent might care little for borders or ideology - he just wants to get all the gold of this world into his hands by using and manipulating civilizations.

Other observers simultaneously pursue their own goals, turning the world itself into a struggle between competing higher powers.

Whose role will you take on - and which Civ Watchers will stand in your way?
