NÓN – The Forgotten Hand fuses tactical card strategy with split-second reflexes. Build your formation like you would in any tactics game — then defend it in real time, parrying every incoming strike with a single, perfectly-timed key press. Forget turn-based card battles where you wait your turn and watch numbers tick down: here, a botched parry can kill a card for good, and if your Leader ever falls, the run ends with it.

1. White-knuckle, cinematic showdowns Block one strike, and the enemy fires back immediately with the next in the chain — real-time parries chained beat after beat, tension climbing with every clash. One clean chain of perfect parries is pure spectacle; one wrong beat can unravel it all.

2. Attacks that keep you guessing Every foe pulls from its own set of attack sequences — slow telegraphed strikes, lightning-fast ones, decoys that punish careless button-mashing, and feints that skip your front line to strike the cards behind. Reading the cue in time is the whole game.

3. Failure has real weight Miss your timing and your card eats full damage and burns stamina. Push a card too far and it dies — permanently — leaving a gap in your formation the enemy will exploit for the rest of the fight.

4. Everything rides on your Leader Lose every card in a lane, and the enemy's next strike goes straight for your Leader. They can parry and counter just like any card — but with no stamina to fall back on, every hit taken is a hit that matters. Lose the Leader, lose the run.

1. Build Your Roster Before You Fight Assemble your lineup before the battle even begins — choose which cards hold your three lanes and which wait in reserve on the bench. Your Leader stays fixed for the whole run, but every other card is yours to place. Once the fight starts, there's no hand, no draws, no do-overs — only the formation you built.

2. Adapt Your Lines Mid-Fight At the top of every round, freely rework your formation — pull a battered card to safety, rotate in someone from the bench, or reinforce a lane about to buckle. The instant the round begins, though, your lines lock in — so every swap is a real decision, made with the clock already ticking.

A Roster of Foes, Each With Its Own Rhythm No two enemies fight the same. Each one draws from its own set of attack chains — different colors, different speeds, different tricks — so mastering one foe's timing won't save you against the next. Chip away at their posture with clean parries, and a fully broken guard leaves them staggered wide open for a devastating strike. Boss encounters are on the way in a future update.
