We, Situated in a Parallel World ~Parallel Hearts~ is a school-life ensemble visual novel about youth, friendship, and the everyday moments shared between childhood friends.

Through the eyes of Hibiki Hinata, you’ll spend your high school days alongside his endlessly energetic childhood friend and a colorful cast of companions—days filled with noise, mishaps, laughter, and moments you’ll eventually wish could last just a little longer.

To Hibiki Hinata, youth has never seemed quite as dazzling as people make it sound.

Romance and youthful passion? He’s far more concerned with whether the opening ceremony could start a little later.

Then Nanase comes racing down the cherry-blossom-covered slope, calling his name.

And just like that, Hibiki’s plan for a quiet high school life is completely shattered.

He complains that everything is a hassle, yet somehow always ends up lending a hand. The two of them have been together for so long that each other’s presence feels completely natural—and yet a teasing remark or an unexpected moment of closeness can still make their hearts skip a beat.

The feelings neither of them knows how to put into words remain hidden inside the familiar banter they have long taken for granted.

Inside the chemistry lab of the old school building, VVVV carefully watches the changes taking place inside a test tube, while Zhizi has already collapsed onto the desk and drifted off into a universe of her own.

One tries to explain everything through science.

The other claims she can receive radio signals from outer space.

They seem to be on completely different wavelengths, yet somehow they share a strangely peaceful kind of after-school time together.

Of course, that peace rarely lasts for long.

Whenever the others show up, even the most ordinary afternoon has a way of veering wildly off course.

Hina, who dreams of becoming an idol, can turn almost any situation into a lively spectacle. Kirikawa, always wearing headphones, is perfectly at ease in the world of games, yet becomes strangely awkward whenever someone gets too close.

Then there’s Zhizi, the self-proclaimed receiver of cosmic transmissions; Lanshao, who never runs out of fiery declarations; and ABtype, the one responsible for calmly pointing out just how ridiculous everyone else is being.

With completely different personalities, hobbies, and rhythms, they gradually become the kind of friends who wait for one another after school—and who always seem to show up together whenever trouble comes knocking.
