What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Proppy is already playable, but we want to continue expanding and improving the game alongside the community.

Early Access will allow us to gather player feedback on gameplay, progression, balance, usability and performance while continuing to develop the world of Proppy.

Player feedback will help us identify what works well, what needs improvement and which areas deserve the most attention as development continues toward version 1.0.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently estimate that Proppy will remain in Early Access for roughly 12 to 18 months. This is an approximate estimate and may change as development progresses.
Proppy will remain in Early Access while we continue expanding the game, improving existing systems and addressing community feedback.
Our goal is to move to version 1.0 when we feel the game has reached the level of content, stability and polish intended for the full release. We will keep the community informed as development progresses and our plans become more precise.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of Proppy to expand significantly on the Early Access experience.

Development is expected to include additional areas and levels to explore, new enemies and bosses, more creatures, activities, items, crafting possibilities and gameplay content. We also intend to continue improving existing systems, balancing progression, fixing bugs, optimizing performance and polishing the overall experience.

The exact scope of some additions may evolve during development based on testing and community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Proppy is fully playable and already includes the core gameplay experience.

Players can explore the world, interact with towns and their inhabitants, gather resources, craft items, fish, farm, cook, use different equipment and vehicles, purchase a home, and begin recovering consoles and video games for the Video Game Museum.

The game already contains progression, exploration, survival and life-simulation systems, while development continues on additional content, balancing, optimization, bug fixes and overall polish.

Some areas, systems and content may continue to evolve during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may gradually increase the price as Proppy grows and receives additional content and features during Early Access.

Any planned price changes will be communicated to the community in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role in the development of Proppy.

We plan to follow player feedback through the Steam Community, including discussions, bug reports, suggestions and comments about gameplay, balancing, progression and usability.

Updates will continue to improve the game and expand its content throughout Early Access. Player feedback will help us identify problems, improve existing systems and determine which areas of the game need the most attention.

We also plan to communicate development progress and important updates through Steam announcements.”

About This Game

YOU ARE NOT FROM HERE

In the distant future, an alien civilization is trying to preserve the history of video games the way seeds from extinct plant species would be preserved in a seed bank. Your mission seems simple: travel back in time and recover the missing consoles and games so that a copy of each can be preserved.

But time travel is never as clean as it should be.

BECOME A PROPPY

To complete your mission without revealing the existence of extraterrestrials, you must blend in with the inhabitants of Earth.

Before your departure, your body is wrapped in a biological appearance cloned from the humans of that era. But temporal and interdimensional distortions have already begun to alter your perception of the world.

To you, humans now look like Proppys.

To them, everything looks perfectly normal.

And to make your disguise believable, you will have to learn to live like they do.

SURVIVE AND BUILD A NEW LIFE

Before you can focus on your true mission, you first have to survive.

Buy a house, find work, grow crops, cook, raise animals and craft the objects you need.

Gather resources, cut wood, explore mines and use your materials to create tools, furniture, clothing and equipment.

Forges, campfires, looms, spinning wheels and other machines gradually become part of your everyday life.

The better you blend in, the easier it becomes to continue your mission without attracting attention.

RECOVER THE LOST HISTORY OF VIDEO GAMES

The consoles and games you are searching for have been scattered and altered by temporal travel.

Some can still be found in this world.

Others have drifted into different dimensions.

Sometimes the boundaries between realities become weak enough for impossible objects, creatures or even locations to appear where they do not belong.

Every recovered console and game can be brought to the Video Game Museum, which also serves as an interstellar shipping center for your collection.

Your objective: recover every piece of this history and complete the mission that brought you here.

A REALITY THAT IS FALLING APART

The farther you progress, the more visible the effects of temporal travel become.

Eras overlap.

Dimensions intersect.

Impossible events occur while the rest of the world sleeps.

Some anomalies may even send you into realities where the rules resemble those of a video game more than those of the real world.

Nothing is completely stable.

And no one around you seems to notice what is happening.

LIVE THE WAY YOU WANT

Your mission matters, but nothing forces you to pursue it immediately.

Explore, work, farm, collect, craft, fight, discover towns and their inhabitants, grab your bicycle and see what lies beyond the next road.

You came to Earth for a mission.

What happens next is yours to discover.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with the creation of some pre-generated visual assets and with text/localization. All AI-assisted material is reviewed, edited, and curated by Team Logik before inclusion in the game or its Steam materials. The game does not generate AI content in real time and does not connect to an external AI service during gameplay.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Contains stylized fantasy violence, including combat with zombies and other creatures. A brief non-sexual scene depicts a humanoid alien body with the genital and back area fully covered by a maple leaf. There is no explicit sexual content or realistic gore.
