What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Football Executive 27 is a detailed football management simulation whose systems interact across multiple seasons. The transfer market, squad planning, manager decisions, finances, and match simulation particularly benefit from feedback based on different play styles and long-term careers.

Early Access allows us to work with the community to identify issues, improve balancing and usability, and understand which areas should receive the most attention before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect the Early Access period to last approximately 1 to 6 months. This estimate may change depending on community feedback, the scope of necessary improvements, and technical stability. Quality and reliable career progression will take priority over a fixed release date.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we intend to expand and refine the existing systems. Our main areas of focus include more believable transfer and contract logic, long-term balancing, improved manager and club decision-making, a clearer user interface, and better performance and stability in extensive careers.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version provides a playable single-player career from the perspective of a sporting director. Players can take control of a club, plan the squad, negotiate transfers and contracts, manage coaches and staff, monitor club finances, and play through seasons using a 2D match simulation.

The main career workflows are available, but players may still encounter bugs, balancing issues, incomplete translations, and changes to the interface or gameplay systems. Major updates may occasionally affect compatibility with older save files.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer Football Executive 27 at a lower price during Early Access. The price may increase gradually as the game gains more content, stability, and fully developed features. Any significant price changes will be communicated clearly in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will collect feedback through the Steam Community, discussions, bug reports, and our community Discord. We are particularly interested in feedback about long-term careers, transfers and finances, game balance, usability, performance, and stability.
We plan to publish regular development updates, document known issues, and use community feedback when prioritizing improvements.”

About This Game

Take Charge of Football Operations

In Football Executive 27, you are not the head coach. You are the sporting director responsible for assembling the club's football leadership, building the squad and defining its long-term direction.

Your head coach independently selects the lineup, makes substitutions and controls the match tactics. Your task is to hire the right coach, provide a suitable squad and evaluate their performance.

Build Your Squad

Analyse your team's strengths, weaknesses and tactical roles. Decide which players have a future at the club, where reinforcements are needed and how to balance sporting quality with financial responsibility.

Scout and Negotiate

Assign scouts, identify potential signings and gradually improve your knowledge of each player. Negotiate transfer fees, salaries, contract lengths, bonuses and additional clauses.

Not every target will be available. Budgets, competing clubs, player ambitions and sporting prospects influence every negotiation.

Manage Coaches and Staff

Hire a head coach, assemble your backroom staff and discuss squad planning, tactics and player development. The abilities and decisions of your employees affect the entire club.

Experience Matchday

Follow matches through a detailed 2D presentation. Observe formations, tactical adjustments, chances and performance data, then judge whether your coach is getting the best from the squad.

Carry the Responsibility

Manage finances, contracts, transfer budgets and board expectations. Recruitment decisions, sporting results and the club's financial development determine how your work is judged.
