About This Game

Demons of the Dread Sea is a pirate-themed dice-builder roguelite set in a dark fantasy version of the 17th century Baltic Sea.  

Driven by a great purpose, you have accepted a devil's bargain for the power to manipulate luck to your advantage.  As the Captain, gather your crew and equip your ship, customize your dice, and set sail to build your notoriety by defeating ships traveling on the Dread Sea and taking their precious cargo.

But beware - pushing luck to the breaking point has its cost.  Your dice will degrade, corrupt, and eventually betray you.  And when they do, Misfortune will be near to have her vengeance on you for altering the laws of nature.

Gather Your Crew

The synergy of your customized dice with your selected crew makes you a force to be reckoned with.  Each privateer clan has their own distinctive characteristics and play style:

• Rauðr (the Red Clan) - anarchic berserkers, quick to violence and prone to frenzy.  Damage focused.

• Grǿnn (the Green Clan) - nomadic and feral wanderers, fiercely loyal to each other.  Strong defense.

• Svartr (the Black Clan) - Enigmatic, chaotic, and secretive mystics.  Known for corrosion and decay.

• Roguelite Progression: Unlock new content each successful run, discover new synergies and exploit them
