About This Game

Begin with a simple shelter, a few supplies and a campfire. Build a little place to call home in the wilderness.

Shanhe Builders is a 3D home-building survival simulation set in a fictional world inspired by China. Guide one to five companions as they settle in plains, on an island, beside a great river or in wetlands. Organize their work and daily lives, turning gathered materials into shelter from the weather.

A small group with individual faces

Start with five companions by default, travel alone or choose a smaller group. Twelve character appearances include different ages and male and female designs, with no duplicate appearances within a randomized starting party. Set work priorities and watch settlers gather, haul, build, eat and rest. You can also switch to third-person control and take charge of one companion directly.

From early homes to Chinese-style courtyards

Timber, fieldstone and adobe walls combine with plank or thatch roofs to form six early homes. A broader collection of building designs includes three-bay houses, L-shaped homes, three-sided courtyards, stilt houses and outbuildings. Choose a blueprint and orientation, then deliver materials through real hauling jobs as construction progresses from clearing and groundwork to foundations and the finished structure.

Adjustable dwellings offer size and material choices, while complete building designs provide fixed forms with their own supported functions. Use beds, storage and everyday objects to turn building plans into useful living spaces.

Keep daily life moving

Designate resources to gather, organize storage and hauling, grow crops, fetch water and cook. Hunger, fatigue, body temperature and injuries shape the group's routine. Day and night, seasons and weather change the atmosphere around your home. Pause to plan or speed up time to follow a day's work, balancing warmth, food and rest.

Choose your place in the landscape

Plains, islands, great rivers and wetlands offer different shorelines, vegetation and resource layouts. Reusing a seed recreates the same environment so you can try another party or building plan.

The game is still in development. The current presentation focuses on characters, camp life, resource handling and construction implemented in the main game. Additional building designs do not mean that every associated industry has a complete production system.
