About This Game

GARITO is a slots roguelike where the house cheats first and you cheat it back.

Every machine is a boss, and it will not pay on its own. You reach into the reels, wire the paylines and STRIKE when the board is yours.

Rig the reels

Tap a cell, duplicate it, swap it with another. Every edit changes what the board is about to pay, and the plate tells you before you commit.

One strike collects it all

STRIKE pays every lit line, then runs the board again with a bigger multiplier, and again. Reach the goal and the overload is yours. Go bankrupt and the house collects.

Sabotage orders

Scissors, stamp, claw, tape, gum: thirteen ways to tamper with a strip for the rest of the run, each shown as a hologram before you press.

Wire your own paylines

Throw a fuse at a line's plug and the line lights, pays and climbs. A better fuse replaces the one in the socket.

The vending machine and the pachinko

Every overload you clear is paid in tickets. Spend them between machines: a pachinko where the ball decides what you take, or spare parts that bolt onto the machine for the whole run.

Every machine is a boss

Ten machines, each with a face, a trick and a breaking point. Beat its payout out of it and it shatters; TIMO, the raccoon in the back room, counts what you took.

The workshop

Every machine you break leaves scrap. Between runs you spend it on the wall: fifty-eight upgrades along five fronts, rigging, betting, wiring, haggling and holding on, from a third trick per deal to a bet on the goal and a street market before the first machine.

Ten boss machines, twenty symbols, thirteen sabotages, nine fuses, ten spare parts, fifty-eight workshop upgrades, and seeded runs you can share in six letters.

The house always collects. Unless you rig it first.

No real money, no microtransactions: what you lose here is fake credits.
