About This Game

Paydirt is a cosy prospecting incremental about a Saturday hobby that gets badly out of hand. Wash the dirt, pick out what's worth keeping, and buy a better bag. Every new bag brings a problem you've never seen, and every problem has a cure for sale.

Learn what you're looking at
Fool's gold that pays nothing. Black sand that clings to nuggets so tightly your magnet takes both. Clay that rolls over the lip with your gold sealed inside. Quartz with the gold locked in stone.

Buy the cure
A magnet. A bar of soap. A hammer. A beam scale, once you find out what you've been leaving on the table. A crucible, when raw gold stops being good enough. Your phone fills up with catalogues.

Chase the streak
Three nuggets in a row lights the plate and multiplies the whole pan. Bigger grains push it further. The near-miss is the point.

Automate the process
Sluice box and a few things a man with a folding table has no business owning. Set them running, walk away, come back richer.

Start over, keep the diamonds
Prestige resets the run and banks what you found. Spend it on permanent upgrades and go again — faster, richer, deeper down the creek.
