Monitor Tray is a compact Windows utility for controlling supported monitors from a quiet system-tray flyout. Adjust each display separately or link them and move every screen together.

Go darker when hardware controls stop

Many displays will only dim so far. Monitor Tray combines hardware brightness control with an extended-dimming overlay, giving you a smooth 0–100 range that reaches below the normal hardware minimum.

Set it once, then let it work

Create local day and night brightness targets and choose when the app should switch between them. Optional Auto Dim can reduce harsh bright content on each monitor, while gentle fades keep changes from feeling abrupt.

Compatibility

Hardware brightness control depends on the display, connection, and support exposed through Windows. Unsupported displays are clearly identified. Extended dimming and Auto Dim may behave differently with HDR, protected video, exclusive fullscreen apps, Remote Desktop, and unusual multi-monitor or GPU configurations.
