About This Game

WAKE UP SOMEWHERE THAT SHOULD NOT EXIST

You come to in a maze of yellow rooms and long halls. The lights hum. A radio plays from a corridor you have not seen yet. Something is already moving.

Liminal Depths is a top-down pixel horror game set in an infinite indoor labyrinth. The map generates as you walk. There is no world to memorize. There is only the next turn, the next job, and whatever is waiting past the light.

Your only shelter is a safehouse. A generator. A computer. A door that still closes. Power it, or the building goes dark around you.

KEEP THE POWER ON. TAKE THE WORK.

The terminal is how the Depths talk to you. Recover a signal fragment. Haul fuel before the generator dies. Scan a sector. Hold a stabilizer. Walk a relay chain until the network comes back.

Every job pulls you farther from home. The halls get longer. The rooms stop looking familiar. Coming back with the item is only half the job. Coming back alive is the rest.

REMEMBER WHO YOU WERE

You are missing more than a way out. You are missing a name, a job, a life.

Memory terminals sit deep in the labyrinth. Reach them. Answer them. Each one gives a piece of you back. Recover enough of your identity and an exit finally exists. Hold the door. Leave. See how long the run took.

Until then, you work, you upgrade, and you try not to die in a hallway that all look the same.

LEARN THE RULES OR DIE IN THEM

Nothing in the dark hunts the same way. One threat freezes in your light. One keeps its distance until you look. One only moves when you do. Others patrol the halls or wait for the flashlight to die.

They arrive from rooms you have not loaded yet. They leave when you get too far. The maze is never empty for long.

Two hits put you down. The first leaves a blood trail. Battery dies and the light dies with it. Medkits, glowsticks, fuel, and whatever you can carry are the difference between a run and a restart.

BUILD A REASON TO GO FARTHER

Photograph the Depths. Earn signal points. Spend them at the upgrade terminal on a battery that lasts, a generator that holds, a little more time.

Crouch through gaps that standing will not fit. Push what blocks the path. Listen for radios that go quiet and wet the farther you stand.

Every loop is the same and it is not. Prepare. Leave. Finish the job. Come home. Upgrade. Go deeper.

PLAY ALONE OR WITH SOMEONE NEXT TO YOU

Play solo or local split screen. Every run is a new seed. Save and come back. The goal does not change.

Keep the power on. Remember who you are. Find the door that was not there when you started.
