About This Game

哈罗德的东海冒险 is a single-player 2D role-playing game built around story exploration, branching choices and turn-based battles. Play as Harold, a retired hero sent by the Heavenly Court to investigate a cult in the East Sea region. What begins as an apparently convenient business trip becomes an adventure involving Liangxiu, divine powers and strange events in the fantasy world of Pindianjie.

Investigate the city and uncover its secrets

Explore streets, the Heping Hotel, shops, back alleys and underground passages. Talk to characters, examine objects, search for clues and treasure, and use the quest log to review what you have learned before deciding where to go next. Modern city life, supernatural legends and absurd conversations meet as familiar places change over the course of the story.

Choose how to handle the investigation

Story choices let you seek police assistance, infiltrate alone or act alongside companions. Your decisions affect later events, the characters accompanying you and the direction of the ending. The game includes multiple story routes and subsequent playthrough content, revealing additional clues and scenes as you revisit the adventure.

Plan your turns and adapt to unusual opponents

Choose attacks, skills, defensive actions and items in command-based, turn-based combat. Combine equipment and consumables to handle enemy attacks. Some encounters introduce survival-turn goals, action restrictions, phase changes or copied actions, encouraging you to plan both offense and recovery. Later story sections take you through castles, temples and ruins to complete trials and confront stronger enemies.

Solve mechanisms and try minigames

The journey includes observation and memory challenges, piano playing and note-sequence mechanisms, plus Texas Holdem and slot-machine minigames using in-game chips. Investigation, dialogue, combat and these diversions give the adventure a varied pace.
