The demo for Kasane, a puzzle about layering colors to recreate a target pattern exactly. Red, blue and yellow blend where they overlap, and the same color layered twice cancels out and vanishes. Every puzzle has exactly one solution. Twelve puzzles - three from each of the four tiers.

About This Demo

Layer. Blend. Matching colors disappear.

This is the demo for Kasane, a puzzle about placing colored pieces onto a board. Red, blue and yellow blend into purple, green and orange; all three together make black, and white lightens whatever it touches. Layer the same color again and that component cancels out and vanishes. Match every cell of the target pattern to clear the puzzle.

What is in the demo

Twelve puzzles - three from each of the four tiers the full game ships with: Easy (4x4, three colors), Normal, Hard and Oni. The board, the rules and the controls are exactly those of the full game, so what you play here is the real thing at a smaller size.

Exactly one solution - always

Every puzzle is generated backwards from a finished board, and its uniqueness is verified by an exhaustive count. You will never stumble onto an accidental second answer.

Graded by depth, not by color count

Adding more colors does not make a puzzle harder; only how many pieces stack on a single color does. That structure is the difficulty curve, and the demo walks you across all four tiers of it.

Built to sit well in the hand

Play with mouse or keyboard. Each of the twelve actions takes up to two key bindings, and the wheel swaps pieces. The board is drawn like layered sheets of colored washi paper.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

This game uses generative AI for some of its images and music: the title screen artwork, the application icon, the difficulty-selection backgrounds, the plate textures behind buttons and panels, the store page images, and the background music. Nothing else in the game is AI-generated. The puzzle boards, pieces and target patterns are drawn procedurally from the game's own color model, the sound effects are synthesized at runtime, and every puzzle is generated algorithmically - built backwards from a finished board and verified to have exactly one solution.
