About This Game

Build in life. Die. Brave 2,000 years of trials.

Welcome to GYPT, the building and management rogue-lite where the pharaoh's death isn't the end of the game, but the beginning of the test.

You are the ruler of a merciless Egypt. In life, you harvest the Nile's resources, mobilize your artisans, and arrange your pyramid stone by stone.

But time is against you: death can strike at any moment.

Once your tomb is sealed, your architectural choices and traps will have to withstand it without you for two millennia of raiders, storms, and divine trials, until the weighing of the heart.

Act I: From the mud of the Nile to the sealing of your tomb

Take control of your worksites on both banks of the Nile before the clock stops your reign.

Manage human scarcity: assign your artisans to harvest silt, limestone, and gold and transform them into bricks, blocks, and artifacts. Every hand mobilized in the village is one less team on the pyramid site.

Calculate every placement: invest your materials to arrange walls, corridors, and burial chambers on a free triangular grid. Every room placed forces a strategic trade-off: can you anticipate the angle of a future storm, or the intrusion of a raider?

Protect your relics: craft sacred artifacts (mummy, sarcophagus, canopic jars) and riddle your corridors with deadly traps. Secondary objects and physical obstacles will act as shields to divert raiders from your most precious relics.

Act II: From the end of your reign to the Judgment of Maat

When the Pharaoh dies between his 8th and 15th year of reign, the pyramid is sealed forever. Your role as architect ends here: the ultimate test of your work begins.

Face History without being able to intervene: crossing 2,000 years means enduring 5 trial cards drawn from the deck. Storms, floods, opportunistic raiders, or divine wrath will test the strength of your architecture.

Watch your plans defend themselves: orient your limestone walls to deflect cataclysms and arrange trapped corridors to neutralize thieves. If your defenses fail, your mummy will be desecrated, triggering immediate Judgment

Weigh your legacy before Maat: every structure, sacred room, and preserved relic accumulates karma points. Only careful preparation in life will secure your ultimate score at the weighing of the heart.

Why you'll love the GYPT loop:

The elegance of a board game on PC: rediscover the joy of tiles, event cards, and gut-wrenching choices, elevated by the power and fluidity of a video game engine.

Verified Egyptian authenticity: from sun-dried silt bricks to the Coffin Texts, every mechanic is rooted in history.

Short, replayable, addictive runs: chain together 20-minute sessions. No two games are alike, thanks to the unpredictability of time and architectural draws.

Pure reflection, zero click-stress: take your time to analyze your plans, use the tactical pause, and optimize your synergies, without ever suffering from bad luck.

Your reign is only the beginning: journey through History itself

GYPT features a full rogue-lite meta-progression system: unlock new tomb types and advanced buildings as you move through real Egyptian chronology, and grow your dynasty from run to run.

If your pyramid crumbles under 2,000 years of trials, only your architectural adaptability — and your dynasty's accumulated legacy — will help you triumph in the next run.
