Step into a neon-lit video store where the shelves are empty and the floor is buried in cases. In Video Store Chaos, a first-person organizing game, you will turn a spectacular mess into a satisfyingly tidy store. Pick up a case, inspect its cover, find the right genre and make room for the next stack.

Fictional movies. Sarcastic covers. Real clues.

Shelve an entire library of imaginary movies and games, complete with their own titles, detailed covers and sarcastic back-cover descriptions. Pick up a case, open the detail view and flip it over. Between the absurd plots and biting blurbs, you will find clues to the right genre and its place on the shelf. Reading the covers is part of the cleanup – and sometimes worth taking a break for, right in the middle of the mess.

2,592 cases. One very messy store.

Sort and shelve 720 movie cases, 576 game cases and 1,296 VHS tapes. That is 2,592 individual copies across 720 different titles. Work your way through the piles and watch bare shelves fill up, one correctly placed case at a time.

Upgrade your shift

Correct placements earn Store Credits. Spend them on four upgradeable perks: carry more cases, move faster, pull matching loose copies into your hand with Auto Collect, or briefly highlight the right genre shelf with Shelf Hint. Build up your tools and tackle bigger piles.

There is more beneath the store

Follow the clues and discover a hidden retro basement filled with VHS tapes and its own atmosphere. Take a break at the arcade, explore the store's odd corners and keep an eye out for unexpected surprises. Some things are best discovered during your shift.
