About This Demo

Twin Hooks is a 2-player co-op action game where two bonded heroes protect a city that lives a double life. By day, it's warm, vibrant, and full of people worth fighting for. By night, it transforms into a dangerous battleground where only the two of you can push back the darkness. Play online with a friend or tackle the city solo. However you play, every system is built around the thrill of cooperative combat and simple cozy joy. The choice is yours, every session.

• Core gameplay loop: Tutorial, Safehouse intro, day & night mission, Warehouse mission

  Quick Play: Jump right into night mission combat.

• Core co-op combat: Two weapon types, generated loot parts and weapons, mission-based loot.

• Simple level scaling: enemies, weapons, loot scale as you get more XP. Can play to Level 50.

• Solo-able & Co-Op 

State of Development

• 1-3 of our devs have worked on this during free-time over the last ~9-12 months. We have no funding yet. We're a bunch of ex-AAA devs and dads with limited capacity.

• Our goal with this demo is to validate our core loop/proof-of-concept and get our studio funded off the data, which will create 5-8 jobs.

• If you like/love the demo or see promise, wishlisting helps us more than anything else.

• A fully funded team allows us to hit the ground running on full development, get it on consoles and do a proper simultaneous multi-platform launch with cross-play, cross-progression and ship a really great experience for players.

Your grappling hook is traversal and weapon both. Swing off posts and ledges to close distance, and launch off your partner for aerial combos that wouldn't be possible alone!

Customize Your Fighting Style

Find powerful weapons, upgrade your equipment, and collect unique gear that changes the way you fight. Craft new equipment, experiment with different combat styles, and build a fighter that feels entirely your own! At launch, create your own characters with your partner.

A City With Two Faces

Every time you head out, you choose which city you're playing in. Take a day mission and the pace slows: fish with your partner, visit local shops, decorate the home you're building together, uncover hidden stories, and spend time with the people you're protecting. Take a night mission and everything changes: stronger enemies, new challenges, and dangerous bosses waiting for anyone willing to push deeper into the city. Cozy or dangerous, it's your call.
