About This Game

It's 1980 and the arcade is open. A pink and cyan marquee hums over the doorway, the carpet glows under a row of coloured pendant lights, and the whole room breathes that low electrical hum of machines waiting for a coin.

You walk the floor yourself. The aisle runs the length of the hall between two banks of cabinets, arrows in the carpet pointing you up toward the headline machine standing on its own lit plinth. Along the way there are benches to sit on, speaker stacks, vending machines glowing behind their glass, a prize counter stacked with redemption shelves, potted plants and framed posters — the whole room, exactly as you remember it.

Every cabinet is alive. Each one plays its own attract loop while it waits: a car chasing a sunset down a coast road, a digger burrowing through a cutaway of soil, a bomb ticking down in the middle of a maze, a squire hopping the lanes toward the castle gate. Stand in front of the one you want and the machine takes the whole screen — the real game, start to finish, exactly as it would have played in the hall. Step away when you're done and you're back on the carpet, right where you left off, free to pick another.

And the hall keeps growing. New cabinets arrive on the floor as they're built, so there's always another marquee lighting up in a corner that was empty last time you walked past.

The games on the floor

NEON HORIZON — a sunset racer from coast to coast. Choose your car — balanced, flat-out fast, or nimble — and chase the clock from checkpoint to checkpoint through nine landscapes: coastline, bay, desert, lagoon, canyon, night city, mountains, storm and glacier. Every stage ends at a fork in the road, and the harder line always scores higher. Five different finishes await, depending on how brave you were.

ALIEN BLASTER — one or two players against eight hostile sectors, from the Orion Belt to the Void Rift. Freeze the aliens in stasis blasts and finish them before they shake loose. Take too long clearing a sector and the aliens turn savage — take longer still, and the Void Warden arrives to hunt you down. It cannot be killed.

BLOCK BREAKER — six walls of neon blocks stand between you and the Omega Core. Keep the ball alive, catch the power capsules as they fall, and chew through every last brick before your paddle runs out of lives.

BOMBERMAN: BLAST CIRCUIT — a maze of crates and hunters. Lay bombs, blast open new routes, grow your blast radius, and corner your pursuers in the lattice — then get clear before your own flames catch you.

SIEGE RUN — BANNERS OF THE GATEHOUSE — a squire has five banners to plant on the castle gatehouse. Between him and the walls: a battlefield of charging knights, carts and rolling boulders, then a moat to be crossed on drifting logs and rafts, past serpents in the water. A drawbridge keeps changing its mind about whether it's a road or a hazard, and arrow volleys sweep the field — only a shield cart will see you through one.

DIG IT — six levels deep in the earth. Tunnel your own passages through the soil, pump the cave creatures full of air until they burst, or undercut a boulder and drop it on an entire column of them at once.

Coming soon

MUD TITANS — MONSTER TRUCK CIRCUIT — a bird's-eye off-road brawl where four monster trucks fight over a single dirt circuit. Stomp the hydraulics to crush rock gardens and spin out anyone parked beside you, take the plank bridge where the track crosses over itself, and learn how dirt, mud, swamp water and the outer berm each grab at your tyres. It's built and ready — it just needs a cabinet in the hall.

And it won't be the last: more machines are on the way, so keep checking the empty spots along the aisle.
