What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The Chicken Siege is already a complete, stable game — the full wave-defense loop, dozens of defences and enemy types, daily/weekly/season events, cloud saves and 21 Steam achievements all work end-to-end today. We're choosing Early Access because the game is designed to keep growing, and we want players involved in that growth from the start. Early Access lets us ship the game now, tune balance with real player data, add content shaped by community feedback, and fund continued development while we build toward 1.0. We are committed to this path: the game has a live browser playtest community already, updates ship regularly, and we intend to keep updating the Steam version through Early Access and beyond until the full vision is complete.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“3 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access we plan to add:

New maps and biomes, with fresh terrain rules and layout twists

New chicken enemy types, each with its own behaviour and threat profile

New defences and synergy combos on top of the current 59

New game modes, including an endless mode and boss-rush variants

More relics, perks and meta progression systems

Additional cosmetics, themed farms and seasonal content

New achievements, medals and community-driven event types

Further performance and polish passes, plus quality-of-life changes from player feedback

Everything added during Early Access will be free to our early supporters. The full version's core vision is already in the current build; 1.0 represents the expanded content roadmap above, plus the refinements our players ask for.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access build is feature-complete and playable start to finish. It includes the full wave-defense campaign with escalating 50+ wave runs, 59 defences, 25+ chicken enemy types, fusion and synergy systems, daily/weekly/season events, relics, difficulty options and mutators, an in-game encyclopedia, a map editor with a community map gallery, challenge codes, cosmetics and themed farms, run reports and share cards, cloud saves, and all 21 Steam achievements. . The build is stable — it is guarded by a 150+ test automated suite and has been running as a live browser playtest. Everything described in the "About This" section is implemented and playable today; Early Access is about expanding that content and polishing it further.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The Steam Community forums and discord chat will be the main hub for feedback, bug reports and suggestions, and we read them actively. We plan to run community polls to decide what to add next — new maps, themes, modes and event types — and to invite players onto beta branches to test experimental builds before they go live. We'll post regular dev updates with patch notes so players can follow exactly what changed and why. The game already has player-created content in its DNA: a map editor with a community gallery and shareable challenge codes, so we'll feature standout community maps and challenges in seasonal events. The existing browser playtest community will feed into the same feedback pipeline. Player feedback directly shapes the roadmap, and we will keep the community informed as the game evolves toward 1.0.”

About This Game

The Chicken Siege
The chickens have unionised, armed themselves and declared war on your farm. Spend egg income on defences, survive wave after wave of increasingly ridiculous poultry, and climb the live daily leaderboard. Runs are quick, the chaos escalates, and every chicken has a plan. Your farm does not.

Build the arsenal

60+ defences across nine classes — walls, turrets, traps, bells, explosives, creatures, structures and egg-powered economy. From a 6-egg fence to a 1,500-egg tactical nuke. Place the right towers side by side to trigger

12 tower synergies, fuse eight of a kind into a SUPER unit (x10 damage), and hit Overclock when the door is about to fall.

Know your enemy

25 chicken types march on your gate — from the Standard-Issue Chicken to The Cluckening itself. Stealth chickens, ghosts, bureaucrats, corn thieves, chicken gods and demolition drumsticks, each with a weakness worth learning. Bells reveal stealth. Rotisseries cook drumsticks. Only creatures can put down a Titan.

Play every day

The Daily Challenge is one seeded run everyone shares, with a live leaderboard that updates while you play — 10 free runs a day. Weekly boards aggregate your best runs, 28-day seasons run from Bronze to Chicken God, and every week a themed event (Cluckstorm Week, Boom Week, Midnight Clucking…) brings its own mutators and exclusive medals.

Make it yours

Paint lakes, forests, hills and death pits in the map editor, then publish to the community gallery — or race friends with 6-character challenge codes. Sync progress between devices with cloud saves, play in six languages, earn 28+ medals, unlock titles and emblems, and turn every run into a shareable card.
