About This Game

While the gods gamble with humanity, Joe’s unexpected suicide causes his god to lose the bet. Driven mad with rage, the god searches for the answer to the question, “How do you make a human suffer?” and stumbles upon Dante’s Inferno. He orders the book, never reads it, and instead has an AI make a video game based on it, traps Joe inside.

Be born, suffer, gamble with your life, die, repeat, and entertain your god. That is your sole purpose here.

GAMEPLAY

Run, jump, dash through the air, roll across the ground, and fall. When you reach a boss, take the item handed to you and figure out the rules. Sometimes you’ll have to mash buttons like crazy to save your life. Other times, stop, think, and make the right move.

• Permanent Checkpoints: Even a god whose sole purpose is to inflict suffering gets bored of watching the same loop. Use checkpoints unlocked every few floors to save your progress.

• Stylized Pixel Art & Atmosphere: A dark yet vibrant pixel-art world filled with changing color palettes, carefully crafted artwork, and absurd details across every layer of Hell.

• Life Gambling & the Joepot Slot Machine: Sacrifice a life to earn a Joepot slot token. Take a risk, win big, or waste your precious life.

• Controller Support: We’d love for you to sit back and relax, but in this Hell, you may need to stay glued to the screen and keep your fingers ready. (Controller recommended)

• Dark Humor & Cosmic Parody: A bankrupt god, an ordinary character, and an absurd parody of Dante’s Inferno.
