About This Game

In the sixth year of Zhongping reign, Dong Zhuo seized control of the capital, tearing the realm apart.

You are a destitute refugee dwelling on You Province’s northern border, with no powerful connections nor tutelage from renowned martial arts masters. All you possess is a rusted iron sword, struggling to survive amid roaming barbarian raiders, rogue soldiers and bandits that plague the northern lands.

On the brink of death, the Northern Sword Sect Founding System binds itself to you. As a nobody, you shall build your very own swordsmanship sect from nothing.

The system will not bestow peerless martial arts out of thin air. Every sword form must be forged through your own bloodied combat and battlefield insights. The system will only compile your combat experience into teachable sword manuals and techniques.

Start with an abandoned mountain stronghold and a handful of starving refugee disciples. Manage your sect grounds, reclaim farmlands, forge weapons, fend off Wuhuan plunderers and bandit assaults, and transform your ragtag crew into the formidable Northern Sword Sect revered across You and Bing Provinces.

Spear arts dominate the northern plains, with wandering spear fighters roaming every corner. Master sword techniques designed to deflect and counter spears, exclusive to the Northern Sword Sect. You will cross paths with famous figures of the late Han Dynasty, including Xu Shu and Deng Zhan, and hear tales of legendary veteran swordsmen Wang Yue and Shi A. Stand as a rival school against the spear tradition championed by Zhang Xiu, the Northern Spear King.

No sect can remain untouched by the raging chaos of the era. Gongsun Zan, Yuan Shao and Cao Cao will all extend offers of alliance to you. You may choose to shelter in seclusion, taking in displaced common folk and turning your mountain grounds into a peaceful haven of martial virtue. You could also emerge from the mountains to serve warlords, sending your sect’s swordsmen to fight across the battlefields. Or you may amass your strength to carve out an independent domain in the north, securing a foothold amid warring lords. Make fatal misjudgments, however, and your stronghold will fall, the legacy of the Northern Sword Sect lost forever to the tides of history.

• Sect Construction & Management: Seize mountain fortresses, renovate dwellings, cultivate farmlands, erect defensive works, and overcome shortages of food, armaments and vital supplies.

• System-Driven Martial Arts Creation: Gain insights through combat to unlock sword manuals and stances, perfect the Northern Sword Sect’s unique fighting style, and pass your skills down to disciples.

• Recruit & Train Disciples: Take in refugees, wanderers and down-and-out warriors, tailor training for each individual, oversee your followers, and resolve internal sect affairs.

• Branching Late Han Storylines: Critical choices unlock four distinct endings. Every decision you make shapes the rise or fall of the Northern Sword Sect.

• Encounters with Historical Figures: Wander the untold corners of Three Kingdoms history and interact with heroes and wandering warriors. You are not the central hero of this age—only a sect leader clinging to survival in a brutal chaotic world.
