About This Game

The race is won in the service park

The drivers drive. You and your crew get a service window, a car that came back
from the stage in pieces, and a clock that does not stop. Whatever you leave
undone is not forgiven: it comes back as seconds.

Every second has a name

The end-of-stage sheet does not tell you that you lost. It tells you WHY, line
by line:

• +18 s — wrong compound for the surface out there
  
• +12 s — a wheel that left with loose nuts
  
• +6 s — the bent front bumper nobody replaced
  
• +4 s — the car went out damaged

And the overall standings move with it. The rally is lost in the bay, not on
the stage.

The car comes back, and you have to choose

Four wheels, four compounds, bent panels, counted fuel and a two-minute clock.
You crack the nuts with the impact wrench, hammer the panels, fit the tyre the
stage actually calls for. It does not all fit. Choosing what NOT to do is the
game.

The weather decides, and it will not warn you twice

Sun, clouds, rain, fog and snow, on their own clock. The ground changes with
it: gravel, tarmac, mud, snow. The forecast is on the rally control board, and
the right tyre is learned by looking at the sky, not by reading a sign that
hands you the answer.

One to six, and it shows

1 to 6 mechanics, 1 to 3 cars. With two of you the work splits; with four the
park is a beautiful mess and somebody has to shout who takes which corner. Play
by Steam invite, by room code, or over the local network.

The park is a place, not a menu

You walk it: tyre bay, body shop, fuel pump, mess hall, rally control. There is
a pickup truck you can drive. And there are rival crews working right next to
you, who now and then walk off with something of yours.

A rally your size

From 4 to 20 stages: ten minutes, or a whole afternoon. A shakedown teaches you
the job without a manual, and from there the difficulty is yours to set.
