About This Game

All Pool Players Go to Hell is a physics-based combat roguelite where your pool balls are your weapons, your deck determines your options, and every shot can send a carefully laid plan completely off the rails.

Build your deck, line up your shots, and use real-time physics to smash your way through the horrors standing between you and whatever passes for an "exit" around here.

And you won't be making the journey alone.

Scratch Jack will be accompanying you through the depths of Hell. He'll offer advice, commentary and, more often than not, mockery. Just don't get too comfortable. He's far from the only strange character waiting for you down there.

BUILD YOUR ARSENAL

Discover different types of pool balls, each changing the way you approach combat. Build a deck around your favourites and combine them with upgrades that alter their damage, force, behaviour and abilities.

Experiment with different combinations and turn a simple game of pool into something considerably more dangerous.

EVERY SHOT IS PHYSICS-DRIVEN

Combat takes place in real time using physics.

Choose your ball. Pick your angle. Decide how much force to put behind the shot and deal with the consequences.

Ricochets, collisions, positioning and momentum all matter. A well-placed shot can tear through a room. A badly placed one might leave you wishing you could blame the cue.

FIND YOUR OWN WAY THROUGH HELL

Every run generates a new path through each map.

Choose where to travel, decide which encounters are worth the risk, collect new cards and upgrades, and shape your build as you descend deeper.

With multiple maps to survive in each run, reaching the end won't be a matter of following the same route twice.

FACE WHAT'S WAITING AT THE END

Each map culminates in its own bespoke boss encounter, designed to put your build and your ability to actually play pool to the test.

On your way to them, you'll need to defend yourself against waves of Hell Spawn. Each one has different movements patterns, abilities, weight and damage. You'll need to react accordingly if you want a chance  to meet who waits at the end.

Survive, and your journey continues deeper into Hell.

CHANGE HOW EVERY RUN BEGINS

Unlock and choose between different starting decks and abilities, giving you new foundations to build around from the moment a run begins.

Combine that with randomized paths, different ball types and a wide range of upgrades, and each descent gives you another opportunity to discover something completely ridiculous that somehow works.

As a solo developer, I made use of AI for generation of models and music to act as base components. These typically went through much manual editing afterwards.

Some AI was used for testing & improvements to code in some areas
