What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We're out to build the best VR fantasy action game out there. We have a plan set out, and want to engage the players to hear what mechanics are most fun! When you're working with a close-knit community, the magic happens.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until first months of 2017”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full game will feature procedurally generated levels, each with a few randomized quests along the way. There will be a few unlockable player classes, all with drastically different skillsets. Players will gain upgrades, sidegrades and skins for classes and their equipment as mission rewards. Along the game, players will also collect "memories" - interactive dioramas that will slowly unravel the story of the world of Trickster and lead up to final conclusion.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game includes two game modes - Adventure Mode, with procedurally generated levels and quests to complete - and Wave Attack, to practice your Orc handling skills. Orcs won't give you an easy time. There are about 8 different enemies, each with individual skillset. The sky arena changes randomly every round so you'll have to move around to have the advantage.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Finished game will have a higher price. Price will increase along the development process with big, game changing updates.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Update early, update often. Get feedback on experimental features as soon as they're ready to roll out. Expand things that shine the most. Don't waste time on stuff nobody uses. That's how we do things around here.”

U24: The Raging Tides

In this update we take a look on the flow of the battle, to make it more engaging and skill-based.

Previously, when taking too much damage, Players had to retreat and wait to regenerate health. This limited the pace of the engagements and promoted overly cautious play.

This time, we're introducing instant Health Potions and Power Potions that drop from killed enemies during combat. These give the Player constant boost of health and weapon power, as long as he kills enemies efficiently. Let's get on with that steamrolling!

Here are some battle flow improvements we introduced:
  • Health Potions will now drop from monsters when Player is not at full health.
  • Player health regeneration has been reduced and its delay increased.
  • All special weapon powers now recharge in 60 seconds.
  • Power Potions (previously orbs) now drop three times as often and fully recharge special weapon powers.

Grab these in battle to instantly restore your weapon's special powers!

Hotfix 24b Notes
  • Piercer Bow's special power will now have wider area of effect to make hitting enemies easier.
  • Scroll of Conjured Spear now becomes Scroll of Thunder.
  • When the End Portal opens, it will now start attracting stronger and stronger enemies.

Update 24 Notes

New Stuff:
  • Red Shaman Familiars gained new demonic look!
  • Hunter Orcs, Green Shamans, Berserker Orcs and Shield Orcs have all learned new skills for Legendary Difficulty!
  • We're now sporting a brand new loading screen. Fancy!
  • New drop: Instant Health Potions.
  • Healthbars will now display Enemy's name and level.

Other Improvements:
  • Players can now choose degree of Play Area rotation.
  • High-FOV camera is now default desktop view, for those sweet, dynamic game captures.
  • Far away players will now be automatically teleported to the exit portal when its defense starts.
  • Reworked exit portal for better readability and performance.
  • Various VFX effects have been optimized to run better on slower computers
  • Power Orbs now got a new model and charging effect.
  • Fireball scroll will now deals more damage.
  • Max amount of gold Players can have have been increased.
