About This Game

Once, your family stood among the wealthiest merchant houses in the world. Your name carried influence, your warehouses overflowed with goods, and your fortune seemed as vast as the seas themselves.

Then catastrophe struck.

In a short time, everything your family had built was lost. Properties were seized, investments collapsed, and every reserve of wealth disappeared. Desperate to survive, your family borrowed from friends, rivals, moneylenders, and anyone willing to offer even the smallest amount of help. But the debt only continued to grow. With nothing left to sell and nowhere else to turn, you did the only thing you could think of.

You prayed.

Perhaps you had accumulated some merit in a previous life. Perhaps the gods simply took pity on you. Whatever the reason, your prayer was answered, and you were granted one wish:

A way out of your hopeless situation.

Unfortunately, divine mercy has its limits. There was no mountain of gold waiting for you. No miraculous cancellation of your debts. No forgotten inheritance. The gods gave you only one thing:

"A SHIP"

At first, you could hardly believe it. How could a ship possibly solve the enormous debt hanging over your family? The divine answer was simple:

“No one can help those who refuse to try.”

The world is vast, divided by seas and oceans, filled with cities producing different goods and markets where the same commodities command vastly different prices. A ship may not be a fortune, but it is enough to travel. Enough to carry goods. Enough to seek opportunity.

And perhaps, enough to begin again.

Naturally, your first idea is to sell the ship. Unfortunately, once you compare the value of the vessel against your family’s mountain of debt, the truth becomes painfully obvious. Selling it would barely make a difference. You might survive for a short while, but eventually the creditors would return, and you would be exactly where you started. So there is only one reasonable choice left.

Use the ship.

Gather whatever meager wealth remains. Sail from city to city. Buy commodities where they are cheap and sell them where they are valuable. Study the markets, discover profitable routes, endure losses, take risks, and slowly rebuild the fortune your family once possessed. But the world of commerce is never predictable. Prices rise and fall. Yesterday’s profitable commodity may become tomorrow’s disaster. A forgotten market may suddenly offer an extraordinary opportunity. Every voyage takes time, every purchase carries risk, and every decision brings you either closer to freedom—or deeper into debt.

You were not given salvation. You were given a chance.

A ship, a little money, an enormous debt, and an entire world waiting beyond the horizon. And in this world, there is one truth understood by every man of wealth:

Fortunes are not simply found. They are made through trade.

Kings may rule, nobles may inherit, but those who rise by their own hands do so as merchants—buying, selling, taking risks, and turning opportunity into wealth. If you are to rebuild your family name, there is only one path left before you.
