Warrior Quest Demo is a dark-fantasy dungeon crawler where you speak to characters in your own words, and what you say can actually change the game.

Play it like a tabletop RPG: fight, sneak, deceive, bargain, recruit, threaten, or try something completely different.

Built to capture what people love about tabletop role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons*: the freedom to try your own ideas and see how the world responds without the need of gathering a group.

Unlike an open-ended AI Dungeon Master, Warrior Quest tightly couples diplomacy to the game engine. What you say and agree to can change relationships, objectives, alliances, access, and the state of the world itself. But the game’s rules, and the roll of the dice determine what actually succeeds.

All language generation and voice synthesis run locally and offline. No internet connection is required during play.

Your Choices Define the Story

Warrior Quest is built around player agency.

Many encounters can be fought, avoided, sneaked past, negotiated through, or resolved in unexpected ways. A largely peaceful approach is possible through much of the game, while players who embrace violence, deception, greed, or cruelty must live with the consequences of those choices.

You are not required to be the hero. You are responsible for deciding who your character becomes.

Choose Your Adventurer

Play as one of three distinct classes, each offering its own abilities, equipment preferences, and approach to danger:

• Warrior

• Thief

• Wizard

Your class shapes how you confront the world, but it does not decide your personality or morality. Any adventurer can negotiate, deceive, show mercy, recruit allies, or choose violence.

A Complete Mini-Campaign

Warrior Quest is structured like a tabletop mini-campaign: longer and more involved than a one-shot, but more focused than a sprawling full campaign.

Different classes, backgrounds, routes, and improvised diplomacy choices provide reasons to return and tell a different version of the story.

Built by an Engineer and a Dungeon Master

Warrior Quest is created by a solo developer with a decade of experience in both software engineering and running tabletop campaigns.

It combines authored rules, dice systems, characters, and persistent world states with the freedom to improvise.

The writing, artwork, music, sound, and original voice performances were created by the developer. The LLM behind its diplomacy system is used only as a gameplay mechanic, not as a substitute for creating the game.

All artwork, music, sound effects, and prewritten narrative content in Warrior Quest are human-created by the game’s solo developer. Generative AI is not used to create the game’s visual or audio assets.
Warrior Quest uses live-generated AI for its free-form diplomacy system. Players can type their own dialogue, which a locally running language model interprets to generate in-character NPC responses and determine the player’s intended actions. Diplomacy can meaningfully affect the adventure. For example, players may uncover information, negotiate passage, discover new objectives, form alliances or alter story progression through conversation.
AI-interpreted actions are validated and resolved by the game’s authored rules, dice systems, and available story states. Generated conversations can vary between playthroughs, allowing player creativity to influence how the adventure unfolds.

Warrior Quest is a primarily text-based dark-fantasy RPG built around player choice. Most encounters can be resolved through diplomacy, stealth, or avoidance, although players who choose combat will encounter it regularly. Violence is conveyed through text rather than graphic visual depictions. The game includes written references to blood, injury, corpses, death, and occasional grotesque descriptions.
